Stoner and Vettel are quite similar except Vettel doesn't moan a lot! But both suck for sure.

Marquez is a great talent but don't raise him up too high because remember Lorenzo in 2008?

Jorge and his crew chief have both said, separately, and before the race, that the Yamaha has to be ridden smoothly and maintain a high corner speed to actually be competitive. Lorenzo put it on pole and he knew whatever he did, he had to get through the first corner, in the lead , and then create a gap while on fresh tyres. To his credit he did just that and won the race.
Rossi didn't have that luxury. Instead he used his own strength ie. braking skills. How he could do that to such devastating effect on Quatars' dusty track is amazing.

All 4 Yam riders will need to go for it from the start in Austin to have any chance against Dani & Marc.

Realist, yes, I agree with you, possibly the only rider to actually go, overtake and break on the dust.
Reckless, I thought :).

Anyway a big Rossi fan here, but I need to see something more before I can deem him again a victory contender, and Austin tests were pretty bad, just a small improvement on that would not be enough..

My money is on Dani for the win. COTA is 30% 1st gear corners and all about acceleration. Look for a Honda 1-2.
Personally I don't think Rossi is capable of running against either Jorge or Dani when they are comfortable with the bike. Dani had a rare issue with traction at Quatar, which probably will not happen again. If he gets back to the form he showed last year it will be another dogfight with Jorge for sure. Rossi just doesn't have the same pace. He'll be fighting for podiums, that's all.

Dr.Who - Unregistered and why .
Its easy to see that niether of you 2 love gp as you would not be making remarks about stoner im not a fan of his but do have the respect for all riders in gp and feel sorry that we don,t have casey in here this year to give more battles at the front . . But he chose to leave and to people who are smart when honda say they will give him a bike anytime he wants they know a lot more than we do and i think come half season mm will be a very serious contender as he is scarey fast

Since when could Rossi NOT run against Dani or Jorge? Like the rest of the Rossi bashers you're just making this sh!t up. Rossi has always been a contender with those two riders no matter how "comfortable" they are. These guys have had free reign the last two years and they still couldn't show "Rossi-like" consistency. Now they will have to battle for wins and neither one of them have ever shown to have the stones to match Rossi in a battle. OK, maybe Lorenzo, maybe Marquez, but sure as hell not Pedrosa.

@ Roman

Agree with your post except of part: I don't have anything against Lorenzo, but Lorenzo matching Vale's skills in a battle? I can't recall much of that...

Agree for Pedrosa, except for a single race last year, when he overcame Jorge.
Actually that was the only race I can remember for both of them battling it out...

with due respect to all who commment, all the riders are good and deserve respect and not slander. Everyone has a favorite, but if you had 3 sons, would you hate 1, love one and like the other. Alzamora won the championship without winning a race, Rossi knows he has a good shot at the title, as Marcquez, Pedroza,Lorenzo aswell. May the best man win, I say Rossi will regain the title in Valencia and MM 2nd and not far behind in points. miss 6,74,48,58 alot.
