“Qatar was not the start we expected, but I know what the issue was so it's clear for the next race” - Dani Pedrosa.

Pedro didnt get the start to the season he had hoped for,but he should head to Austin with some confidence based on his performance in testing.So i wouldnt bet against him.Honda do appear to have an advantage on this track over the Yamahas at the moment.If that can be maintained by Sunday,the little fella should be there or there abouts.

At least one of the 4 "aliens" is going to finish off the podium at every race. At Qatar Pedrosa suffered the doubts of commentators here. I think he is gonna challenge for the next race and the championship. This year consistency is going to be the key, more than ever.

I'm sure Dani won't lose to his teammate in points over the entire season. If he wants to win it this year he can't let Jorge build up an insurmountable lead again like last year. JL doesn't finish 4th... EVER! So to beat him it takes many race wins , no DNF's and not too many 4th place finishes . I would like to think that with 4 riders challenging for wins it will be hard for Any one rider to build up a big lead... That's what I'm hoping for. No more crowning the champ 3 races before the end.

IF pedrosa cannot finish on podium in austin next sunday then the game is over for him... the next races after austin will be much2 tougher for him as Marquez & Rossi will get stronger & stronger....

The Hondas looked really good at the test in COTA but the Yamahas will be much closer. I'm sure that Pedrosa will be tougher and we saw what Marquez did at the test. That said, I hope Rossi wins the race. Nevertheless, it should be fun to watch, lets hope it's a good race.

R6,i think thats a pretty fair statement.The 4 top riders seem pretty well matched.If they all stay injury free and they all stay DNF free,then noone is going to romp away with it.Consistancy is going to be the name of the game.This is where Lorenzos biggest strength is.If he stays Dnf free,it will be hard to see him off the podium.You only have to look at his results last year.

Although Marquez to me is still an unknown quantity (I'm not going to make judgements from one race), the other three will come down to who nails the set up.

Pedrosa suffered because his team could not find the right set up for him to push. His tires degraded, hence his finishing position.

With nothing between the three in terms of raw speed, it's going to be interesting wo watch how the season unfolds.

I agree, if anyone of them scores a DNF it is more than likely over for them unless the others receive a DNF at somepoint as well.

@R6RYDER

Out of curiosity where did Jorge finish at Le Mans (a track he has otherwise dominated for years) in 2011 (and that was after Dani crashed out and Marco had his ride-throu) or Brno 2011?
