Rossi got factory bikes because he is best at the time he get a bike ... any factory will choose the best riders to ride their bike... they will never give their bike to crap riders.. You can't expect crap riders get best bike.. you need to do a good job first before getting a decent equipment...

I think that Crash.net should start a new topic :-

'A marshal in Texas will be taking some ham sandwiches with him for his lunch'

Then challenge posters to find a way to bash Rossi.

They'll find a way, they always do.

Anyone got a win/races ratio before 2011 compared to the start of this year?
Just interested to see how much of a dive the stat took!
500/motoGP only thanks.

Valentino was born to race - pure and simple!! His life revolves around bikes and racing and this is the reason he will carry on for as long as he possibly can. Some seem to be in the sport for glory, money or some other fairly obscure reason. Valentino is in it for the sheer joy, the intense passion and the love he has for bikes and the God given ability he has that enables him to do with them what most others only dream about!!

All the stats in the world don't take away the fact that Valentino Rossi is a 9 times world champion! Valentino is THE rider the majority of spectactors turn up/tune in to see! Valentino Rossi is the benchmark for all other riders! The constant comparisons between Rossi and Stoner are ridiculous as it is like comparing chalk with cheese - Valentino's heart is full of racing - Stoner's wasn't, he was in it for something completey different and his early retirement proved it! A true racer goes on and on regardless because he just can't help himself!!!!

Herewego, you are spot on son! Unfortunately it ultimately highlights valentinos inability to find a life away from the circus and his quest for recognition.
No one's born to race mate, the human skeleton wasn't meant to travel faster than 15km/h, but adapt he has, no doubt!
Should have retired though, I just don't think he's had to work hard enough on 2nd rate bikes to understand what others have at stake.
And 9 WC's don't mean much in the company he's kept since 2006. I'm a long time fan and they aren't exactly the golden era of racing my friend.
