It would be fantastic, if Rossi could equal or even beat the record of Agostini. With 17 races this year and 18 the next,what do you guys and girls think? II somehow think he will, but he will have to race beyond 2014. Any believers to second that emotion.

@Slide,

Welcome back dude. Ill answer that one (being a stat guy and all)...

Pre 11 = 180 races for 79 wins = 2.28 races per win.
Up to 13 = 217 races for 79 wins = 2.75 races per win.

Just for laughs (because its fact), your hero's stats,

06 - 12 = 115 races for 38 wins = 3.03 races per win

Bendy you're entitled to your opinion but you could also be one of those who discounts Ago's records for some reason or another to help throw the 'goat' tag Valentinos way with reckless abandon.
I can sort of see how people may form that opinion and that's why I don't rate ANY of Rossis wc's prior to the year when Hayden won against him and a team mate hell bent on taking him out as well!
The next two wc's were the only ones that meant something against some proper competition. He did well, but hardly outshone JL or CS. Outstaying is different to outlasting and as they say it's better to burn out than to fade away.

@Lad By Name Lad By ignorance

Some people born to learn, but some people born stupid and will never learn to even count.

I Rossi been on podium since 1996 and won for 15 consecutive years(till 2010). so you do the math. I don't believe you can even work out the simplest arithmetic problem.

Had Rossi has stayed at Honda he would have won championship every single year including 2006,2007,2011 and 2012. But he's no jump shipping coward. Casey left because he couldn't stand Rossi's fame. He couldn't change the fact that even in his own country Rossi as more fans than he ever had. He couldn't change the fact that no matter who won, the headline was about Rossi. He was unhappy because he couldn't achieve what Rossi did.

The problem is people compare two completely different things, Rossi is of the old breed who won on 125/250/500 two stroke, where Casey Stoner is of new generation that can only win on highly stuffed bikes. It s an insult to the sport if we put Casey in the same category as Rossi, Ago,.... He didn't win anything in lower categories and of course nothing in his first year on Honda. Now the same retards who bash rossi and his crew say he won because he had Doohan's engineers, lol he had factory ride ....etc Like Stoner didn't get factory support. You cannot

Lad, no one will take you seriously. You've just excluded the likes of Rainey, Lawson, Schwantz, Gardner Sheene etc from your list. The rider you are disrespecting has won more top shelf races than ALL of them.
Next you'll be excluding anyone but Italians from being in your little club. Each does the best with what they have at the time. Valentinos efforts on the duc should have added a lot of perspective to all of our views, but I see a few of you didn't see the last two seasons.
