Unparalleled feat from Ago to win 4 years in a row all the races, that's for sure.

Just one point to put things in perspective: there were less races back then, today it would be much harder only because of the higher number of races in each single year..

G.O.A.T means Greatest Of ALL TIME. Those posters who limit their references to pre-2010, or just 2011 and 2012, or any other band of time cannot, by definition, be discussing the greatest of ALL TIME, therefore their opinions are irrelevant to the topic of G.O.A.T.
When Colin Edwards christened VR46 the G.O.A.T he was in a far better position to make that declaration than any of the Rossi-knockers here.
The most effective way to lose the Rossi-knockers is simply to ignore them and not rise to their bait. (Spot the subtle fishing analogy there?).
Logical debate is wasted on those whose opinions are pre-formed and set in stone(r).

@ TrueFan....not referring to anyone, only in general. Ago's achievements cannot be taken away from him, but unless they bring back the 350cc class (which I see no need to) then it's not really relevant. Great TT rider too, but then they had to compete there because it was part of the Championship. As soon as they took it out, they all stopped going there.

Why are there 2 TrueFans ?

@Codger I think the other guy is nameless... just commenting on Ago-nostalgia...and put the @tag where his moniker ought to be.
You can't really compare eras sensibly. The risks of injury and death were much higher in the old days, and the bikes were somewhat less reliable...I just laugh at the silly goat talk.

lol, to remind you, Rossi raced against the same bunch and won titles as Casey did and failed(in 125,250 and premier class), go check the riders CS raced against again. The fact is Casey didn't win anything in lower categories and also in his rookie year on RCV211(factory backed Honda Pons). He didn't do well on old machines. I am almost sure that none of the new bunch could win on 500s and VR did. and bragging about casey/ducati is utterly ridiculous because in 2007 Ducati in everybody's opinion was the supperior machin with best tyre. Also for some strange reason Ducati suited Casey's riding style and that doesn't meanother riders who didn't win on it were nothing. I'd love to see casey back on Ducati to see if he can win again which in my opinion he will not and that's why he left. I also admit that Casey was a great rider with very aggressive riding style and I still rate him above all Rossi's competitors. There are few undeniable facts about both Rossi and Stoner tha

@TrueFan, Codger,

yes, the "other TrueFan" was actually me but got mixed up a bit, sorry :D.

Yeah, I agree with the "can't compare *sensibly*", but the temptation is juts too big :)
