cal really brings fresh air in motogp, his a real fighter talented and has skills to win,but each time the spot is on him he talks and compliments other pilot marquez lorenzo...of course i can understand it for rossi coz his the best but common calyou were just behind marquez and pedrosa following them surely at quatar during the 2/3 of the race.stop the compliments smash them on your face baby lorenzo oedrosa mmarquez and co(not rossi please),dont speak for your opponents, were they there when you suffered from your bones after silverstone injury,or when you started racing looking for bucks to pay pieces for your motorbike?common punch them if you cannot just think of what thatcher did to brit people it will help you

He seems to believe his own excuses, he needs to stop concentrating on every advantage other riders have and start believing he can win - then in the right circumstances he might just scrape a win this season and pick up a couple of podiums.

The comments above would be laughable if they weren't plain ludicrous. What ARE you lot on? Dead easy for you to sit there and say he hasn't got it and doesn't have what it takes - just cos the guy shows some respect and also tells the truth when another rider does well.

Haven't you actually considered that he might just be being realistic about his chances? The factory teams & Bradl tested there so have an advantage. They have factory bikes SO HAVE AN ADVANTAGE. Its got a very long straight so (like Qatar) THE HRC/YAM FACTORY BIKES HAVE AN ADVANTAGE!

Nothing the guy has said there isn't accurate and realistic. None of it. Easier to Troll though, isn't it?

Instead of running Cal down for whatever reason you have, try reading Neil Spalding's piece this week. It explains precisely why the factory Yamaha is 15-20 HBO down on the Honda, but still a leap ahead of the Tech 3 Yamaha provably thanks to the gearbox, which Cal will be lucky to see for some time. They're not excuses, and if you had half an idea of how things work outside the comments pages on here, you might not be so quick to criticise

15-20 bhp, lousy autocorrect. Anyway, enough with this- whether it's Stoner, Rossi, or Cal, I don't understand why so many of you get so determined to put someone on a pedestal just to knock them down. Sure, he's made a few mistakes, but he's doing something you and I will never be able to do, and for the record, is a pretty decent bloke too. If all you're interested in is moaning about a rider or arguing with someone because they support a rival, why not go watch football with the other children?

Hang on, we can criticise if we want to! Yes Cal does have 'barriers' to success (15-20bhp down) etc etc, but Marquez could easily say "Its my first year, 4th is ok" or Rossi "I'm 34, too old to challenge for victory" - but they dont, they are focussed only on winning - Cal was running with Marquez and Pedrosa last time out, and he qualified 2nd, so why did they both beat him?

@ Yes Yes Yes etc

Errrmm....because he is on inferior machinery to their's, lacking in acceleration, but faster thro' the corners when the track is clear....but that's where they are in the way and unless he could get past VERY early in the lap and build up a 100 metre + gap they'd still steam past him on the straight anyway. To be where he is is exceptional, he's having to ride on the very edge all of the time just to stay in contention...yes he can post fast laps on a clear track in practice but in traffic with faster bikes he's stuffed.
Exmarshall is bang on, the Neil Spalding is very enlightening but beyond the attention span or comprehension of most on here, much easier to slag folks off with no good reason or insight.
And don't forget Bradl is also on works kit and has tested at Austin, Cal has got a tough job this weekend.
