Nice, concise and succinct explanation by pp916 there, and on the money too. I've tried to explain this several times, but logic has no place with so many of the shouty football fan types lurking here. Don't be surprised if something sensible and logical like this gets completely ignored by the hard-of-thinking though.

Some of them should be handing their keyboards back in and getting their crayons back (a few should also retrieve that nice helmet with the chinstrap as well so they don't hurt themselves).

I believe I've heard Marquez make quotes that it's his first year and I know for sure on numerous occasions have heard Rossi talk about he's not getting any younger, etc. I'll even admit that at some point in time I was not that big of a Pedrosa or Jorge fan but they have matured over the years, we even saw Pedrosa counter attack last season which was nice to see, and Jorge is just a machine, nothing wrong with that but I like Rossi's approach to racing - just have fun and live for the battle. Sure makes the sport so much better to watch.....
