re: "Think Dani may as well start packing his bags...forever the bridesmaid never a champion."

iberian bridesmaids are more valuable than some champions. watch, he ain't goin' anywhere unless he wants to. a "spanish armada" is marketing gold.

no doubt the boy is a talent, and dani's bumhole must be clenching. but come the race tonight, i give him ten laps max before he crashes out.
not trolling, i just think he is still pushing and might push too hard on race day (night here) but there is no denying he is a legend in the making. id like to see bradley get his finger out as well... a year too early for gp?
a nice battle between j-lo and vale will do me today

Hmm - Marquez was faster than Dani, and he put in a lot of very fast consistent lappery - Jules called it Doohan-esque - trying to demoralise and bury the opposition before the lights even go out.

MM is cocky and arrogant enough (not a pop - a racer has to have massive self-belief and an ego) to want to do just that in his 2nd race IMO.

I've not warmed to MM as a personality, and he is the golden child, but no doubt he has some huge, huge talent.

Stoner often looked like a crash that didn't happen, and MM looks the same. If he stays on it (& so far he has mostly) then he is a massive force to be reckoned with.

Actually, MM's style where his backside is near on the floor climbing off reminds me of Elias' extreme style in his GP heyday - just even more extreme (& faster!).

Marquez is doing everything right to become a GREAT and for sure he has the talent to be one, but although he may be a future star let's not start labelling him JC seconds coming, coz he still has most of a long path to cover.

... and as we all know, having loads of talent, winning lots of races and dominating one full season or so is just one of the steps you have to climb up the ladder to be considered one of the greats. You still have to dominate for an epoch and that is still many years along the road for MM...
