it wasn't boring because Valentino didn't win, it was boring because there was no real fighting up the front and the field seem to break up and spread out to easy.
if pedro wasn't so afraid of a scrap, he might have won today.

there was one over take the entire race for the battle for first place.

Where was Cal 2 weeks ago when Rossi had a well set up bike?

Oh yeah, I remember him trying to stay with Rossi. Only to mess up his whole race by running out wide.

Crutchlow is decent when trying to hang in with stronger riders but everything goes to pot once he gets locked in with riders at equal pace. Cal would do no better than Ben Spies on Factory Yamaha and that's saying something

Rossi's poor weekend couldn't have been helped by Alvera punting him off the track, and then when Rossi passed him the Honda power blasted past on the straight again. Once Rossi got clear he improved his times but by then it was too late. By lap 13 he was as quick as the leaders.
Out of the top 8 in Qually only Rossi improved his position.
Sorry, so busy defending Rossi against the haters... I forgot what thread I was on. Great, Great ride from rookie. History made and modest with it.

Having said all that....Rossi has got to improve his qualifying.

In Qatar there were zero overtakes in the battle for first place. Was that more exciting?

I thought it was great seeing the two Honda's locked together until MM made his surprise pass. Dani hung on for a while but in MotoGP these days a tiny mistake is all it takes to end a challenge.

Marquez was brilliant and mature, almost Lorenzo like today.

MM ride of the day.
Dovizioso next best ride of the day ... only one place behind Rossi eve though he was on the Ducati, and hadn't had the benefit of a test session.
What are the excuses gonna be when Dovi beats him fair & square?

Thought Marquez was amazing. Thought Cal was amazing. Thought the track was ****e. Turn, turn, turn, turn, turn... So hard to defend an overtake manouvre. I think the designers shot themselves in the foot by trying to force excitement, as though the motorbike racing isn't enough excitement in itself.

'Cal is on satellite bike'

Oh yeah, I didn't know that!

For nth time, there is not much between Cal's M1 and Rossi's M1, yet anyway.

Same engine, same gearbox, same suspension. Only new stuff Yamaha tried out was new suspension, which Rossi didn't like. So he's still on the one he got at Valencia 2012. Just go through Matthew Birt's twitter to see more details on it.

Rossi's M1 will improve in the future, once they work more on the electronics and of course the long awaited seamless gearbox arrives till then not much in it!
