“I was running the same speed as Lorenzo for a long time and that gives me a lot of confidence“ - Cal Crutchlow.

Looks like Jorge might now have a competitive team mate and it aint Rossi.

Either that or the second factory M1 is cursed or something. Yamaha at the moment seems like a dead end for riders at the moment certain managements types appear to favor Jorge a little too much and a few too many problems occur on the second factory M1, just saying they cant all be circumstancial.

Dint seem to help Spies that much lol... anyways his bike is not that far off from theres now, as reported he has the same motor, tranny and chassey for now, different suspension, and software package, but most importently, his techs which from the looks of things has been working quite well for him...

keep it up Cal maybe you'll be on a honda next year - if thats what you want b/c theres no way that a factory Yamaha spot will open up any time soon!

so round 1, Cal is 7secs infront of Rossi, Rossi is over half a sec quicker then everyone, he catches Cal and passes him, Cal struggles to make passes on Pedro and MM, Gets passed by Rossi then makes a mistake and is out of the fight,

this week Rossi struggles and Cal finishes infront of him and you say Cal should be on Rossi's bike.

how do you work that out?

Sir Crutchlow, voted for you on Rider of the Day : Texas
1. Satellite bike
2. recovered from running wide and went to finish fourth!
Didn't vote for Marquez cause he already had experienced cota before and has a Honda rocket.
Fantastic riding by Cal, now please don't hurt yourself. Spies' pretty hurt and might go the Hopkins club :(

Cal never had the race pace to match Lorenzo last year, and this demonstrates that he's made another big step forward as a motogp rider. If he hadn't fluffed the first pass on Bradl, he could well have been in close attendance to JL throughout.

On tracks he favours, and with that promised extra support from Yamaha due to arrive after Le Mans, I think we might see him closer still.

Well done Cal, your are riding brilliantly at the moment and are an inspiration to all other satelite riders. Lets hope Bradley can start to get to terms with his bike soon otherwise the haters will be all over him like a rash.

Being from England I want Cal to do well, obviously. The front 4 finished where they qualified, so hardly surprising.
It's a shame that most are using Cal's name to bash Rossi.

Cal is riding well, he is faster than last year and to keep within a couple of tenths of the current World Champion is pretty amazing. Let's concentrate on that and not on who finished behind him.

I think he could have given Lorenzo a fight if he didn't go off.
And if he can give Lorenzo a fight on the tracks at which the Yam is faster than the Honda, he will fight for a win!

Keep this up Cal!
