(Touch wood) THE FACE OF MOTOGP for a decade or two. one good thing, he is not trying to hit the front and run away like few chicks who are termed as top riders currently. Marc not afraid to a good scrap. ready to follow the riders at front and make the move when needed and then match moves for moves. similar to the one who was the face of motogp for nearly past one and a half decades

If many label Valentino Rossi (a 9 time world champion) a fluke, than this guy must be one too according to those who said that, right?

Yet both of them arn't flukes but great champions and it's what the sport needs.

Great victory Marq!

This kid is the business. Incredibly fast, got a good head on his shoulders, and a calm and mature outlook toward the task ahead. Whoever wins the Title this year will have to deal with him first.

Marquez is the new Stoner! Come and spoils the party fr the top guys.

Another breath of fresh air whihc can only be a good thing.

Now if we can see Cal and Bradl take that little extra step forward, then it wil be a great seasons racing.

@Lura, I believe you are referring to Lorenzo and Stoner when you say riders who hit the front and then run off like chicks??
So are you saying that when a rider is obviously faster than anyone else at a given track, on a given day thatthey should hang about and try and mix it up risking the points for a win or injury through a crash???
Please that is an absurd comment.
If you can't keep up then shut up is what I would tell the others.

@Hemmy: If he's the new Stoner he won't be spoiling much of the party for the other top guys...2 WC in 5 years or so? Plenty of WC's for the other guys left. Now if he is the new Rossi on the other hand...

Lol @ Dutch69

I was wondering how long it would take for some blinkered Rossi fan to chirp up. It didnt take long did it. Lol, sooooo predictable.

Oh and just to clarify, in case you didnt know, Stoner was the most successful rider of his time.

But anyway, lets get back on topic........

I admit I was a MM doubter. His moto2 bike just seemed so much faster than the others. I still think it was, but I am really impressed with his riding the 1000cc so far, I can't believe he's so fast, so soon and seems so confident. This guy is going to be faster than Stoner.
