Perhaps you didn't notice this line " It's cool Monster Energy brought us together, it was a lot of fun." and perhaps you haven't notice that Monster Energy sponsors Yamaha in MotoGP.
Obviously Yamaha would have no problem with this and I'm pretty sure that after 9 world championships, Rossi knows how to focus on the job at hand.

Not surprised at all that he'd be fast in a Nascar as he's fast in any vehicle he tries. Lots of natural talent and ability. As the first race this season showed he has more to offer while this recent race wasn't good I think he'll be competitive at the next track. In testing at COTA he wasn't that good so I'm not surprised with his 6th finish result.

VR in Nascar, MONSTER asked him to do a promo by driving a Nascar car, VR probaly said Why Not and off he whent. These guys are never to do somethings like this in a season because they want to, they can't even go like skiing unless it is a promo stunt, Yamaha can't risk injuries while playing, but because Monster is paying they call the shots
