"You [Schwantz] were a great rider, super spectacular, but always in the shade, first of Eddie Lawson and then Wayne Rainey" - Alberto Puig.

I'm not getting it.
So with Puig it's all about the results.
Which was the whole point of Schwanz's comments (and I hate to see what Hayden said about him).

Maybe he's not getting the fact that both Schwanz and Hayden are MotoGP WC's?

Oh but wait that doesn't count because Schwanz wouldn't have won the WC if Rainey hadn't paralyzed himself and Hayden wouldn't have won if Rossi hadn't wrecked-out. Let's ignore the fact that both of those things did happn and let's focus on what *would* have happened, for sure, if what hadn't happened hadn't actually happened.

Makes perfect sense.
In Puigworld!

@ JFC1

No, it wasn't about the results from Mr. Puig, that came from Mr. Schwantz.

Mr. Puig was kind enough to throw it right back in Mr. Schwantz's face. Mr. Puig didn't start it, Mr. Schwantz did...........and lost.

@python,

Good post and well said, Randy Mamola might not have won the title but he's still in the Top 10 of all time podium finishes 54 and riders from the USA only Rainey and Lawson have more in the 500/motogp class, one of his his best years coming in 87 finishing 2nd to Gardner but beating the 3 time WC Lawson on the same bike...

KS is completely correct and has left alot out . Puig even rigged it so Danny could get to Worldchampionship in the first place.

He's a very deluded and questionable, man it would be interesting to see how Danny would do with someone different managing him.

It would be nice to see him away from Puig and for the sake of change, away from Honda, maybe he'd do nothing there too but it would be an interesting experiment.

Puig is a douche bag who needs to keep his mouth shut, he got pist at Nicky when Pedrosa took him out and almost lost the championship for Honda. I always thought Pedrosa was overrated, his petite frame allowed an advantage for 250 I figured when he got to GP that that advantage would go away.

A big fart from Mr. Schwantz. The funny thing is that Dani beat Stoner last year like Stoner did the year before. If Dani will ever get a MotoGP championship nobody knows but he will surely fight for it. Dani is a pure fighter. He fought with injuries that would make many riders think very hard before coming back to competition. Maybe Dani could try being alone but again it is his business. Lorenzo denied his own father's management and it was only positive for him. Villeneuve got destroyed from Pollock but that does not mean Villeneuve did not have what it takes...on the contrary! We should praise these guys not put them down like that especially if you are a rider that is considered a legend.

first - schwantz didn't VOLUNTEER this opinion... a journo ASKED him what he thot of DP's chances at a title and guess what? he ANSWERED THE EXACT SAME THING THAT MOST OF YOU POST ABOUT DP WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT... "he's good but he'll never win a title"... "been on the repsol bike this long and no title"... "nicky has a title on the RCV, casey has a title on the RCV, Rossi has 3 titles on the Repsol bike (1 500 and 2 4-stroke titles)"... etc. etc. etc... so no need to slag off KS for saying the same things you all do, also Puig is highly regarded by DP and Stoner whose GP careers may not exist without him
