It annoys me though when a rider tears off into the distance and is then deemed to have ridden a "faultless" race!! How can you say that when all they have had to do is ride round with nobody bothering them. If they can't do that then they shouldn't be there in the first place!!

@herewego, if you are so much better than everyone else and can dominate to the point that you don't have to risk injury then that is faultless. Check the dictionary mate.

Only way Rossi's winning this is if a Ducati rider takes out bith Repsols, Lorenzo and Cal. Then he might stand a chance. His statements smacks of desperation for a win.
Hoping for a close race but I can see Lorenzo and pedrosa buggering off into the distance with Marquez holding station 2-3 seconds back and Cal hounding Rossi all the way home.
Rossi over Cal only because he will have mre bike under him, no reflection on whoI feel i the better rider at the moment. On a factory yammie Cal would be mixing it in the top 3 easily.

Im sorry to say but after his two years at Duc he's not an alien anymore or yet again and the 2nd place doesnt convince me neither, the 6sixt place barly infront of a Duc doesnt help much either....

Jerez will be an eyeopener in a positive or negative way for Rossi...

And keep telling the young guns arent close to Rossi cuase he got 9 titles is and gets kinda lame to, i dont want to remind you its been some years he is actually been a titlle contendor, reapeting somthing he's not isnt making him that.. atm he's still a 2nd class rider compared to others not with the same machinery he has.

It's pretty hard to discredit a rider who gets a good start, maintains their pace and pulls off the win, but I do find those types of race finishes a little less exciting than those where battles are fought. Vale has proven dozens of times that he is the most eager & capable battle seasoned rider currently in the paddock. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been watching. His moves may be controversial at times, but he doesn't have the ability to let an opportunity to pass go by if there's any chance it'll stick!

So far the free practice times have been an accurate enough indicator of the pace and finishing position of the riders on race day. In pre-season testing in Jerez Rossi was as fast as Lorenzo so I would expect him to be up front battling with him, but he really needs to qualify on the front row this time.

636stunt - are you serious?

Did you not see the Qatar race? It was second place after coming through the field pal. Not second because he started there such as we have seen from any of the others in just about every race since 2009! I mean two races in, all on away tracks and he is 11 points back from joint leaders... Get real and watch the races before opening your keyboard...

If Rossi can qualify in the front row, then no place for if's and but's... It will be time for lorenzo to come under hammer...
Wish Doctor to get a pole...
