“The Desmosedici GP13 is completely different from the bikes I've ridden in the past, which is fine for me” – Andrea Dovizioso.

Rossi bashed the bike because he was on a completely different level before joining ducati,, he was very rarely a mid-pack rider in race days... Dovi was most of the time fighting for 4th and 5th,, already being aware of ducati's woes,, coming 7th is not that far lower for him, he seems to take heart from Rossi's results which was more or less similar... But Dovi's bike bashing will start soon,, only rider who can keep riding with anything that ducati gives without bashing is Hayden...

Ducati should have taken Cal like they were going to originally!.. He may have surprised everyone. Now all we have is a bloke doing what he did before yet thinks he's better than the bike.

To be fair to both Rossi and Dovi he has only ran two races on the Ducati. His results are not really any better than Rossi got first couple of times out. He has qualified better than Rossi though. I think we will get a better dea of how things are going after the net race though because everybody has raced a Jerez before. I think the difference between Rossi and Dovi is that Rossi expected to be racing at the front straight away and he is used to winning, now nobody hand on heart can say that Dovi is used to winning and racing at the front. Also I think that Rossi expected greater comittment to change the bike to make it a winner. But I know not everyone will agree with me but Rossi is used to going forward in a race not backwards and the same definately cannot be said of Dovi he is just not of the same calibre of VR,JL,DP and CS of all those riders in the average race Dovi would be fifth

Aren't we all missing the point here.
Yes Ducati have two excellent riders, but the most useless engineers in the sport.
The genious of Stoner rode round the problems but the factory have had 3/ 4 years t sort it out and are still a second a lap off the pace.
COME ON AUDI HAVE A CLEAR OUT AT THE FACTORY AND PUT PEOPLE IN THERE CAPABLE OF SUCESS

t least Ducaudi is supplying Gridfillers, although at the expense exceptionally competent riders. Being offered a ride on the desmo is like hitching a ride with the grim reaper

The only Ducati win at Jerez was by Capirossi on heavily understeer GP06. Not even Stoner could win on Ducati there. Dovi is like Stoner and Hayden only could finish with 4 to 6 position there.

What the secret Loris win on Ducati over there? The answer were don't think about the bike and ride like Cal Crutchlow.

On Ducati, understeer is good for wining a race. The worst they're, the better the chances to win it.

@Some1

so where did Lorris Capirossi finish for Jerez 2007 compared to CS ?
can I say had CS ridden the Ducati of 2006 version that very year on which LC was capable of winning multiple times,CS would have broken all the youngest ever premier class pole setter,fastest lap setter etc that would be hard to break.
stop saying silly thing like "EVEN CASEY STONER couldn't win in Jerez on Ducati''.

Stoner definitely CANNOT win at Jerez EVEN on Ducati GP06. Capirossi could repeat it if he still riding GP06.

GP07 only suit for Stoner. Loris punctured lungs after Catalunya 2006 crash could handle GP07 extra upper body strength requirement.
