tv tactics doesn't really matter. its about the show and the stars. good show and great characters make audience. just look at wsbk in italy, this year it went from a minor to the major private network... but ratings plummet because of biaggi's retirement. until you have rossi motogp is kind of safe, otherwise it's just a spanish championship on the edge of boredom.

A few years back, Australia went from Fox Sports (good) coverage to a free-to-air broadcast. The free broadcast is rubbish with idiot commentators, lots of ad breaks, and races being cut short if F1 is also on. We almost never get post-race interviews. I just can't watch racing that way, so now pay for a subscription. Money well spent!

BBC coverage has improved for thus season as they've been showing the world feed with Nick and Gavin on red button Sky and freeview 301 for all the practice sessions, including top class. If only they used then for the Moto gp d be happy to just have it on red button/301. I just can't listen to Charlie Cox Sucker, he is a tool.

Eurosport is good, especially with Steve Day but Moody us a posh car racing commentator masquerading as one of the boys in bike racing Way too big for his boots. Jules is ace tho, old school.

The problem in the UK is that we are forced to pay for a BBC licence, even though they produce very little, if anything that I watch. If I could opt out of the BBC, fine. Like the F1, the BBC is short changing its paying customers. I won't pay twice and the F1 coverage is poor. I do have basic Sky so I get Eurosport, but if they lose it now as well, do Dorna really expect us to pay in essence, three times!! Between Bernie and Dorna, we won't see any of it.
Greed. Thats all it is.
