If Yamaha really wanted to assure Lorenzo wins the title this year, then they would put Crutchlow on a factory bike. Then Crutchlow would routinely interfere with Honda's two factory riders. Crutchlow matured a lot during the last two years. Now he knows not to bin it and is familiar with going hella fast. Could Yamaha be afraid Crutchlow would dust Rossi with equal equipment?

Just read the other comments posted on this page and see I am not the first to think Cal is the best since Sheen, great minds think alike! :)

And good for the British to have one of there own with such a good attitude and such great pace.

What does the guy have to do? He just keeps improving at the highest level of one of the most dangerous sports on the planet and for that he gets slagged off.

Half expecting Rossi supporters to claim Cal is on a better bike:)

And of course if Rossi finishes in front in the race they will be slagging off Cal as a one lap wonder.......

The fact is Valentino has come out full of praise for Cals performance - the guy is doing great!

so orange karen and everyone else who thinks cal should be replacing rossi, let alone on a factory ride.. lets see their overall accomplishments over the years: Rossi - 7time gp champ. crutchlow - a whopping 2 podiums in 2 years in gp averaging a podium per year.. progressing at just short of warp speed I'd say.. at this rate, he should have 4 podiums this year, and maybe a win in a year or 2.. Results are what counts here, not potential.. even spies put that sat bike on pole and had 2 podiums in his rookie season!! When your former teamate has 3x as many podiums as you do in half the time it took you to get them, that takes a LOT of credibility away.

@coffee, it certainly does squash the debate. Know we know that when crutch doesn't lap within .02 of lorenzo or rossi, we know its not the bikes fault.

Crutch has the best package to win the title. But his afraid to win attitude set him back.

He need to win it now or never got the chance again. Once he win his first MotoGP race, people will recognize that his riding style were so much different than Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Rossi but could win many races.
