Podium should be possible, to win he'll need one of the factory hondas to get ahead of lorenzo at the start but even then it will be difficult. Tyres will be the biggest factor

Too much lean when he fell.

The yamaha doesn't compute and spills its rider at such extreme angle unless it's Lorenzo taking a nap in the corner.

@Fred

While his comments suggest otherwise, Rossi is known for his pace later on in the race. He likes it when the bike moves around a little. In Qatar he was taking something like 7 tenths out of Crutchlow/Marquez/Dani at the end before he caught up to them.

If tyres are an issue for everyone here, it's surely better for Rossi

Well best qualifying in years for Rossi,, should be refreshing and motivating for him to look at only 4 bikes ahead of him while starting... If he can get a good start then job on hands for the spaniards... Waiting for one epic battle tomorrow,, if tyre wear becomes a problem for all then Rossi is going to do something special over the race distance as he manages to ride with worn tyre better than anybody else...

dont forget Bridgestone :) 2008/2009/busted leg

although it would seem its not obvious even to some insiders that Bridgestones suite the Yamaha the best. Maybe to be the champ, you have to 'believe' you are the champ, so you look better in front of the camera.

@pillowbiter Yes its fair to say that every one of those 9 championships was a fluke, he had the best bike, tyres,the track was best at the bit he was riding on etc. You must have some muscle on your arm by the way! LOL what a W'er
