Ok so hes not winning races. Hes about where Crutchlow was in his first season. Would like to know where all these armchair experts think he should be coming.

Smith did improve. But not enought. He rode a good bike.He should beat Espagaro easily.

Pol Esp or Reading should replace Smith.

For ducati : Do not enter a gun fight with a knife.

Some people like to draw an analogy of the first year performance between Clutchlow and Smith, but when Clutchlow came to the GP, there were more prototypes available than now, and most people still believed Ducati can be competitive. Smith's just having been able to show the top 10 performance can be only equivalent to around the top 18 performance back in 2011. There remains only one fact: Simth riding a M1 is a waste of a precious prototype under the current circumstances. But, it's not his fault. How one can deny an offer to ride a M1? All the brames should go to Herve, the owner of Tech3. Herve's decision to give a ride to the wrong guy will surely have serious consequences, maybe Tech3 will have to concede to run a CRT or the M1 engine equipped Mistral for their second rider next year.

If two guys in front of him didn't crash out he would have finished 12th. I just don't see the talent that justifies a ride on a prototype at this stage of his career.

He should be in 7th or 8th place in front of the Ducatis at least. I don't expect him be beat the satellite Hondas but Ducatis and CRTs should not be beating that bike.

I like brad but the excuse that he just needs more experience just doesent wash,if you see where he is towards his team mate and then see where mark is towards dani the conclusion is obvious. owney

@Noriben - Sadly I have to agree with you, and would also add that Cal came from WSS & WSBK and had not ridden on many of the MGP tracks. Sadly Bradly has ridden all these tracks many many times, which makes it worse. I for one would love to see him progress to the front, but I doubt it will happen.

Interesting points again. But lets look at facts. Bradl is in his second year and HRC are probably getting concerned. Ianonne is getting the arm pump operation, which suggests they think he is struggling big time. Espargaro has been riding amazingly, but to throw something out there perhaps Aprilia without a certain no3 in WSBK may be putting all their eggs in 1 basket. Around Jerez top speed means nothing. As for the fifth fastest through speed trap then i presume Ducati should have won the last 2 Championships, especially with an alien on board. I definitely think Bradley has more to do, and perhaps did not look totally comfortable (but there was very little grip and many riders seemed to be struggling) but he is a rookie and so i will reserve judgement till later in the year.
