Marquez says he had settled for 3rd but watching the race it doesn't seem like he was going to settle at all during that last lap. Was just a racing incident but he did go into the corner way too hot

This is not racing at all. Four riders, three from Spain with superior machines and that's the whole season. The rest might as well not even participate. And all those idiotic rules, the inferior machines could never catch up. So why did I bother purchasing the season pass? Ever feel like you've been cheated? :N Equal bikes there's no other way. Then we'll have real racing like it's meant to be.

marquez, what an arrogant c..k, He goes into his third race and spends half the race out of control and risking his and Lorensos safety, then at the death uses his bike as a battering ram (not for the first time.ask Pol Espagaro circa last year) then has the arrogance to justify his dangerous racecraft by comparing his actions to those of Vale,Come on Dorna grow some b....s and and enforce a rule about bike racing being a no contact sport befor this clueless d..k really does hurt one or more riders

Thank god for MM, the last couple of MotoGP seasons have been some what lacking in racing, with VR being sidelined, CS moaning if anyone dared to overtake him, JL & DP showing too much respect.
I think racing needs a bit of needle to generate interest not just in the final result but the way it was reached during the race.
I only wish Marco was still racing, now that would've been exciting to watch.

First off, I will start by saying I am a Lorenzo fan. But if he is angry, then that anger should be reserved for himself and not Marquez. Jorge is no mug, he should known that with Marquez's super aggressive style that brash, Rossi/Gib pass was on the cards. For me, he has clearly underestimated Marquez's will to win (refreshingly Senna -like).

Now, Marquez has annoyed me in the past to the point my sh*t itches but in no way was his move dangerous. Jorge left the door open, Marc went for it - fair play. Jorge should have come into the last bend on a much tighter, defensive line to cover the move.

Instead, he made two errors - he left the door open and then tried to fight it out and go for a piece of tarmac that wasn't there. He should have sold Marc the dummy and let him run on, square the corner off and cut back inside.

Sets the season up nicely though, needle between riders can only be a good thing.

It's a simple block pass, nothing more nothing less.

Once you have your bike inside sombody else's they can either go around you or pull back and come underneath. There's no onus on the rider performing the block pass to be able to make the apex of the corner, only not to run the other rider out to the gravel trap.

Lorenzo closed the door far too late and had the option to pick it up to avoid the collision but he chose to squeeze Marquez. If it were any other corner and/or not the last lap Lorenzo would have yielded and there would not have been any contact...
