2011 I seem to recall a guy named Stoner getting on a Honda and destroying the field. IMO that hadmore to do with Stoner than the lack of Yamaha development.

2012 I seem to recall Lorenzo winning the title.

A 1-2 in Qatar and we are approaching race number four. 3 races a season does not make. I will reserve my judgement of the M1 until later in the season. Perhaps you should too?

As far as blaming Lorenzo, let's try this on "Development of the Ducati under Rossi is not upto the mark against rampaging honda/yamaha."

Yamaha's cost cutting policy lead to poor development and crisis of #2 bike,, problem with spies earlier and Rossi now are PARTLY DUE TO cost cutting, that's why the second bike is become less reliable these days...

LOL

So Yamaha is paying for parts on Lorenzo's bike to be top shelf, and then paying less for substandard parts on the number 2 bike becuase "the money just isn't there"?

My God this just keeps getting better.

Drifter I totally agree with your comparison of Jlo's development skill versus Rossi's skill and Honda's current advantage. But it's likely that unless Rossi starts beating Jlo Yam will probably continue to listen a little more to Jlo instead of Rossi for main parts of bike development to Rossi's detriment. However, Rossi needs to adjust his style to be able to reduce his times and be more competitive.

How can the bike or JLo be blamed for a bike that won the championship last year, while being an engine down with a fraction of the budget.

After all, it was supposedly Rossi who took the horrible M1 to a championship winning bike in the off season. Ducati didn't block him from testing and the bike is obviously MUCH BETTER than it was then so where is the problem?

The answer is that there were no riders of the caliber of a Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa or Marquez on the grid at that time.

it seem lorenzo been getting a lot of stick recently it like he has one bad race and everyone jumps on his back clearly the hondas have a slight advantage not much but still at this level that could be the diffrance, it a long old season

Can one of the Rossi fans please explain some things to me... If the Yamaha is at such a disadvantage to the Hondas, how come it led all the practice sessions, made pole, and set the fastest lap, including making a new lap record?

With all the posts of "Lorenzo didn't develop the bike properly, or took it in the wrong direction"..how is this so? Even ignoring that racers just don't develop bikes, they just provide feedback... It's the fastest bike on the circuit, and he's the reigning world champion. Why shouldn't Yamaha listen to him?

Also, if the bike is so bad for Rossi, please tell me how it is that he's now riding faster than he's ever ridden before? If the Ducati "ruined his skills", how can he ride faster on the Yamaha than he did on the 08/09/10 Yamahas...really, you think a 9 time world champion forgets how to ride? If so, how come he's quicker than he ever was? I've regularly ridiculed the claim that he's the best ever, but he's certainly one of the best.

Face up to it. H

jorje took full advantage of yamaha progress during the last too years when rossi was trying to undresta,d ducati , now yamaha must hear what vale needs and provide it just like what they did wiith lorenzo , any way being with yamaha again is much much much better then riding ducati even when he finich off the podium he finich just with 8 or 9 secondes , no body can blame him for not being fast with ducati only stoner did that and he got very fortune when he rode the best bike during the last ten seasons and he owned lorenzo clearly with no issues , in 2012 he started a bit bumpy and he heavily crashed in indianapolis and again just like 2010 lorenzo won with no big threats , this year mac is a very talented highly ambitious with a stronger pedrosa who start making a gutsy performance and being late on the brakes , now honda is the best package the premier class ever seen

Honda always had a better Engine than Yamaha.
it seems they have caught up in other area's now, especially the cornering thanks to the 800cc years of development.
