So according to you guys rossi is not fast because Lorenzo developed the bike to suit his style. You call it development in the wrong direction, but why Lorenzo is able to ride fast on it? Lorenzo was able to perform on that *rossi developed bike*, and beat rossi himself, but rossi is a flop when given a *lorenzo developed bike*. Who then is the better rider??

Guys could all the posters that keep on about riders developing bikes please cut the crap rossi,JLo,Pedro,Stoner etc.developed nothing ENGINEERS develop and design bikes riders just ride them and give some feedback thats the limit of what they do.Most of these riders left school at 16 yrs of age ,it takes 4 yrs at Uni to be an Engineer so please guys get a grip.

Good post Ted.
I wish people would understand that riders only give their thoughts on how a bike feels and handles. The engineers translate that into changes on the bike.
People saying Lorenzo hasnt developed the bike properly have lost the plot.He won the bloody championship on it last year for Christ sake.Cant be doing too badly can he!
Now it is up to the engineers to alter Rossis bike to the way HE wants it.
There are always a few who are quick to point the finger at someone and say its their fault!
What makes me laugh is,we are only 3 races into the damn season!
Rossi has plenty of time to get the bike to suit him!
How long it will take the engineers to achieve that i dont know.
Rossi is comforably 4th in the championshp only 18 points behind Marquez. One DNF can soon alter that!
We still have 15 races left!

Slim agree that Honda is the best bike out there and has been since middle of 2010. If Pedorsa or Stoner were more consistent one of them would have won the championship. In the latter part of last season Pedrosa found his grove but by then JLo's consistency throughout the season was too much to overcome. That all said they are much closer than the next factory, Ducati, so that's why we'll see a track or two that Yamaha will have a slight advantage. But don't kid yourself Honda is the package to beat.

In terms of Rossi as a fan I'll admit he's lost a slight step. While he's still very fast and has all the racing skill and technique needed. I think he's missing a very small amount of desire or willingness to go over the edge which he can see guys like Marquez have. Maybe through maturity he's figured to live another day to fight the battle when all is right. But as I've mentioned before I do think he needs to make changes and improve his style to be more competitive.

I don't think you guys understand the situation.

Yamaha only cares about winning the championship so they put full resources into Lorenzo's team and machine.

Yamaha uses the B rider (now Rossi) to test new parts and see how much they can get away with.

That is why Spie's bike was a POS that broke all the time.

Rossi too is having a lot of trouble already.

Faulty electronics in testing,
A broken brake disc in the race,

As season progresses if they keep using Rossi as a Lorenzo parts tester it will become more obvious.

Burgess is the best or one of the best crew chiefs in the business he knows how to set up any bike extremely well so if the bike is having repeated trouble you know it's Yamaha supplying shady parts.
