Fast racers are immediately fast. Bradley is not one of them. He's been talking about a learning curve all the time but you cannot learn to be fast. it's an innate ability. Simple as that.

That being said, I have respect for this kid. He was given the opportunity of a MotoGP ride and he took it. Why not and who wouldn't?

Everyone goes through a learning phase in their first year, I think Marquez is an exception rather than rule. Do I think bradders will be a top rider in motoGP? No, but you expect good results in the second year. Even Stoner was xxxx in 2006 crashing every two minutes... Bradl should be doing better this year and no comments on him. I do believe aleix espargaro should get a better ride, and if Other manufacturers want to join they should be in addition to, not instead of existing teams, more seats for more talent!

There is a big difference between Smith and Marquez, one has the full backing of HRC/Honda/Repsol and is on the best bike, has a silver spoon, can do no wrong and has Dorna at beckon knee, the other is on a satellite Yamaha which has been known to throw off capable riders, wreck championship winner's careers (Spies/Rossi) and has only the support of a small team.

I bet A. Espargaro gets more support than Bradley Smith. Maybe most pilots who #1 on their team, with Tech 3 trying to get Cal further up the rankings for more bank and credit, dont expect Smith to be there, like most #2 riders who live in the shadow of the team's more popular rider/driver.

If Smith can beat Bradl by the end of the year he will have done a lot in my estimation, and he did as much last round, and the round before. Despite LCR's lackluster ability to get a bike setup, ... front end issues for Bradl, who would have thought, maybe Bradl sucks on Bridgestones .... Sigh.
