Avtech, BBC is not for the masses they don't even promote it, when was the last time you saw an advert for an up and coming race? F1 used to get a dozen a day.
Eurosport is hardly for the enthusiast, the web site is for that and cheaper as well.
As for CE being only interested in short term, he's been there since 91 and sent Ecclestone packing who brought it up a level but CE has slowly built it up, did you see it when the FIM promoted it? The muppets will say it was Rossi, but it was Dorna who marketed Rossi.
If he's looking at the short term well he's got 5 years money out of BT, thats an age in business these days. The UK has had a lot of subsidies to get it on TV with low price packages and subsidized riders, remember CH4? Now let another country get some help.
Eurosport was better when it was one channel for the whole of Europe, now its split up with different deals for different countries and not enough audience. With BT vision getting Rugby and a big percentage of premiership ga

His biggest mistake is comparing the modern format to the 500 series as that was the pinnacle. I for one would happily change my subscription to the European 2 Stroke Cup if it was broadcast on the net and if it helped them achieve their goal to have real, modern, 2 stroke prototypes racing again with anyone they can find crazy enough to ride them.

Yes the bald midget and his cronys have now killed MotoGP in the UK.
I have BT Broadband at work (not by choice) and it is abysmal. Regular breakdowns and as has been stated already, the customer service is hopeless and has cost us a small fortune in downtime trying to sort out issues.
I am a life long bike racing fan and I work in the industry. But I will not subscribe.
I usually follow WSBK anyway as the racing is much better.
I will stick with Eurosport and watch what ever they can show.
It is such a shame that money always seems to ruin sport. But hopefully if the BT coverage is unpopular and shrinks the audience, the money men will have to switch back to a TV station we want to watch. They might not care about the fans, But without us there is no sport.

TRANSLATES TO...I don't really care about anyone that isn't in Spain watching MOTO GP and this deal makes ME the most money....
These Dorna donkeys will ruin WSB too then..
