“500cc was fantastic for decades, but there is a moment when you need to move to other possibilities” - Carmelo Ezpeleta.

.....short term profit for Dorna. The viewing figures in the UK will plummet with a knock on effect on sponsor interest, does he not see that?
Probably not, its fast becoming a Spanish championship with predominantly Spanish riders in the best seats run by a Spanish company anyway, it seems that the rest of the world is there to prop up his shakey empire by providing funding via TV rights to keep the whole thing going.....but for how long before it all comes crashing down?

Quake church,I couldn,t agree more bring back the strokers, these were and still are the hardest machines to tame they took balls of steel and knife edge skills to ride so how can nay dare this money hungry control mad ECCLESTONE clone compare todays sanitised electronic controlled anti crash kiddie cycles with the rider does it ALL monsters of yesteryear is beyond me .It seems Carmello thinks by using the word Progress in a statement justifies the extra cash we are going to have to shell out.or is he simply tring to squeeze the last bit of blood out of the sport befor it and then WSBK and then BSB are finally killed off. This idiot needs to stop insulting us with half baked say anything excuses that he thinks will readily shut us up and sell the ight to real racing fans with a real interest in keeping world class bike racing alive

dorna and ezpeleta have lost the plot.maybe they will use the low viewing figures from now on in the uk from here on in to justify getting shot of the few uk riders there are.
the sooner these clowns get bought out or go bankrupt the better, let someone with a bit of passion for the sport take over.
and the teams think its bad getting sponsors now, wait til next year.
bear in mind these idiots have contol of wsbk as well, its a poor situation for bike racing fans.

At the end of the day if moto gp went completely to the poor house it wont stop all track day nutters out there from riding there bikes.

Heck Id be even more interest if all the gp guys and wsbk guys were on nothing more than street bikes without electronics and tires that I could buy for my bike, and maybe a horspower limit and spec ecus kinda like bsb. Now that situation would be cool it would also give manufacturers incentive to I dont know update that dinosaur called the 2013 *cough* 2008 cbr1000rr.

At least then id know how must slower I am than Pedro-Bot.

Ezpeleta has ruined everything, (I've never liked people with ears like that) they should ditch Dorna, bring back 500 two strokes, broadcast on many networks. At least back in the 500 days there was 12-14 bikes capable of winning come race day. The racing is so predictable now, you know its factory Honda or Yamaha filling the top four spaces, a couple of satelite bikes and Dukes then the CRT's, its really not worth it nowadays. I will not throwing my money away on BT Subscription!

Did anyone see the Unrideables 500 GP programme on ITV4 the other night? That was racing! Not like this modern boring era. (No disrespect to any of the current riders though)!

Ezpeleta just has £££££ sign in his eyes.

They can swivel for the TV licence next year now, she can pay it, I only watch bike racing & now thats gone ba$thards
