The reason why the whole paddock is full of Spanish riders is because the majority of the best riders now come from Spain. The seeds were sown back in 1998 when CEV Buckler(now CEV Repsol) championship was created which is tehir national chamionship. Almost all motogp/Moto2/Moto3 riders we know of today raced in the CEV at one point of their careers, and that includes british riders like Redding and Smith. It's pointless whining about how many spaniards are in Motogp, as Spain probably invests more into Motogp than any other country put together. If other countries want to challenge that dominance, they need to build up an infrastructure for young riders to be groomed that matches the spanish one.

Peter Cliffords WCM & Harris framed R1 proto was original CRT www wcm-group com but got chucked out by FIM.
Team Roberts KR211V was a better bet using leased Factory engines in your own chassis - which is effectively the moto2 class and new change for MotoGP.
Dorna need to wake up and create more grid slots and get more competitive bikes running.

Would allow room for Yamaha to ADD another bike and fit Pol into a 3 bike team be it Factory Satelite or other like what Honday do with LCR & Gresini's 1 bike teams.
Smith has a 2yr contract so compared to Crutchlow's career achievements to date will he be quicker to adapt or slower so he may achieve a lot less than hwat Cal does OR as a grand prix rider on prototypes from day 1 could get to grips quicker.
Yamaha would be *****s to let Crutchlow go and they've proved to be in the past so they have form

Cal is a fast rider over one lap. But he has not shown that he is capable of being a champion. He got beat by Dovi who won only 1 race in 3 years on a Repsol. He got 6 podiums on a the Tech 3 Yamaha in 2012, compared to 7 podiums on the Repsol Honda in 2011. I'm pretty sure Yamaha took that into account. Or why do you guys think Dovi didn't get a factory Yamaha ??? So if Dovi's results on a factory Honda and a Satellite Yamaha were virtually the same and he beat Cal, what would make Yamaha think that Cal would be any faster on a factory Yamaha ??? Plus they need to take care of the future.

Last year Pol was the second best rider in Moto2 after Marquez, and Yamaha can't afford to let Honda snatch up all the best talent available in Moto2 and pick up the left overs. Honda signed all previous 3 Moto2 championships, and Yamaha knowing Pol is the favourite for this years title obviously want to beat Honda to the punch this time around....

Clowns saying boot Smith for next year.

2 things.

Bradley Smith has a contract for next year, so get that into your heads.

Smith's qualifying positions and race finishes are very very similar to Cal's from 2011. So you guys expecting Smith to be on level terms with Cal at the moment (when Cal has two full years of experience) is just plain ignorant. You cannot expect that much from someone, so early on. Marquez is a quick learner and on a factory Honda. But sometimes other riders just need more time to adapt. Even if it is a full season or more.

umm....cal runs his mouthand is ok fast in practise.

He has 38 motogp starts and 2 podiums......

so why does he deserve a factory ride??? Dovi and edwards both beat him in points. Spies..(.you know the wsbk champ and race winner from motogp) will be on the suzuki long before cal.

And before you start bashing spies,he had a broken subframe, broken shock, and bridgstone tires out of round and chunking last year. He had terrible luck.

Instead of cal bitching about not having the latest spec brembos and afactory bike he needs to get more than 2 podiums and actually win a race.

This is truly unfair.cal deserves to be in motogp.what wrong has he done to have such treatment?we can see the lack of diplomacy from the spaniards who act as they are in their garden and spanish garden is not the most beautiful and the best one but we cannot ask them to outweigh their smartness.
Also i don't understand brit people they are first to sing "save the queen" in a patriotic way,and in a sport so popular as moto gp there is no sponsorship to sustain Cal.instead they can pay 4millions of pound for thatcher funerals who treated them as pigs, inject billions of pound into the city where money goes we don't know where and traders get drunk with cocain to finally spend hollidays in phuket to save money, well to be or not be...

@Don-R
Well Dennis Noyles talked about it in depth that Cal used his Ducati offer to try and leverage a Factory Yamaha ride,I have followed Cal on Twitter and his "tweets" made me think the samething at the time.
There were reports from Motomatters That Ducati didnt take kindly to Cal stating he would rather stay on a Yamaha and pulled there offer even before Rossi decided to walk. There had to be some reason why they didnt Sign Cal?
They retained Hayden so they could have picked up Cal correct?

What's all the the fuzz about?? Its pretty clear what's going to happen isn't it? If Rossi keeps up his Standarts he will get the Factory Yam for a year at least...... dont worry.
