One lap super man is not more than another ordinary rider over the race distance. Effort is there but something missing to make them into results (don't say that best bike is the missing one) untill then don't dream of factory ride,, because you are neither a special racer nor you do have a spanish passport to get unfair relaxations or favours...

I guess factory bikes were not on lunch break while stoner won on a satellite bike...

He deserves second yamaha more than Rossi does? Seriously?
Forgot something Rossi best cal in championship standings riding on ducati while being out qualified in almost all races over the past two years, why not Rossi was at times the last factory rider to start, at times behind a CRT, behind his teammate mostly, after all these he mostly finishes ahead of all at 6th mostly,, that's the mark of a true racer, beating the odds against you...

If Rossi has better bike now cal has better age,, not even mixing it up with Rossi,, only chance to beat Rossi is t

Pol Espargaro can be placed in the Tech 3 team directly by Yamaha, as they have the right to do under their contract with H. Poncharal, admitting he would have no control over the matter in that case.

Average rider on good bike = occasional good results. Hasnt got the personality to mouth it off the way he does. Keep the performance going Crutchlow but keep quiet about it. You will see the difference. Fact.

Sad to say but there is one real solution to this. Crt or one set of rules. Its clear you cant have 18 factory bikes so lets have 22 crts. No factory bikes only factory engines on lease that can be claimed.

Regarding m1 generations from recent BS comments at test it seems there are 3 generations. JL 2013, CC / VR 2012 souped up and BS boggo 2012. Seems BS actually liked the 2013 frame so the talk of cals out of spec bike crap. Real issue is seamless gearshift and no yam has that

I cant believe that yamaha wont set up another bike for Cal , but fully factory supported as he really does deserve it.

He,s very fast, commited, and hungry and definately deserves to stay in moto gp.

He,s doing a fantastic job keeping up and battling with the top 4 on sattelite gear.

Yamaha ought to think long and hard about doing all they can to keep him before another manufacturer snaps him up ?

EDIT by CRASH.NET! Racial comment removed.

according to this report it seems like Rossi is DEFINITELY leaving Yamaha after 2014. Isn't he going to SBK for 2015? But what if he some chance he ends up in the top 3 championship in 2014 and wants to hang around GP? Then what? Will Suzuki pick him up? If he can still compete and place regularly on the podium then I don't see why he should leave GP for SBK. Just a thought.

Cal does not have a factory spec bike at all. The first race of th season he had the same bike Jorge started 2012 with - there as been one minor upgrade since then.I am not a masive Cal fan but get your facts right. Both BS and Cal tested a new chassis after the last race.

What is wrong with wanting more parts? - shows the guy wants to try and be the best he can be! This season he has impressed - in the first race he was far quicker than the hondas but was nowhere on the long straight.

Pol is agreat rider and will do well - times change people move on - deal with it. Cal would be a good choice for Suzuki - fast one lap rider who can show up the problems on a bike.

Just need Scotty on a pramac next year!!! You seen his apec speeds this year - wow!!!

Per the rules, they cannot.

The factories can only provide four machines. Jorge, Rossi, Pol, Smith.

Due to Herve making (IMO) the dumbest contract signing in the history of dumb and contracts, tech 3 is stuck with Smith. Since Yamaha needs to protect thier future, signing Pol is the smartest thing.

I am sure Cal would improve some with a full factory backing, but IMO it would still not be enough to compete with the top guys race in and race out.
