@Marty MC. Im referring to remarks made by Neil Spalding who seems to be pretty clued up on these matters. Crutchlow is on last years works Yam effectively and the nose heavier handling is more suited to some tracks than the current works Yam. Development parts do not necessarily mean "better" parts.

Whoops didnt mean to agree with my own comment btw. @Ray Goodyear that may be the case but bud dont kid yourself, they dont put the development parts on the race bikes unless they already know its going to improve the bike..... that is of course unless your the factory ducati team. I hope to christ they can sort themselves out this yr. Motogp needs more strong factory teams. Thank god Marquez has turned up or id be swithching off and just watching wsbk and the like

@ cammyspop
There may not be that much difference between cal's bike and the factory bikes but as I'm sure you're aware it's the last couple of tenths in a lap time that are hardest to find so those few differences, however small they may seem to us will make a big difference.
As Cal has had a 4th and a pair of 5ths so far this season I'd say he is slightly ahead of what is expected of him this season.

“He told me that Yamaha are
potentially going to sign Pol and
Tech 3 will have to take him for
the first year,” Crutchlow said.

sounds bad for rossi too, 2014 could be biggest retierment in this sport.

Not sure why people expect Cal to win a race to get factory gear. No satalite rider has won a race since 2006.

Fact in the past 6 seasons. there has been four repeat winners (Dani, Casey, Vale, Jorge) and four riders with a single win (Marc (early days thou), Dovi (in the wet), Vermulen (in the wet) and Spies).

I like Cal but he complains too much. If you sign a contract to ride a Tech3 bike, that's what you get, a Tech-3 bike. What is the problem? That's what you signed for, why complain so much about it? Unless factory support was promised on the contract, I don't see why he whines so much about not getting it.

MotoPp is a business and riding is too. Cal is really stepping up this year, feeling the heat and without a contract for next year. A little reminiscent of Hayden in 06.

Pol brings more than riding ability to the team, something they don't get with 2 Brits and Brad has a contract for next year. Its likely that he will get Cal's seat.

I would look for Cal to land at Ducati in the Tech4 team next year, taking Nicky's seat.

Nicky will be a perfect rider for Suzuki to bring in, he was a big part of the Honda 212 development and has been through the development ringer at Ducati. He has the marketability and typically puts in more laps than anyone.

This is unless the control over WSBK has a business strategy of moving some riders to that pasture in an attempt to create drama or ignite new/old rivalries. That is why Pol is coming, they need to stir that long term rivalry with Marquez. If Dorna wants to make Marc the next Rossi he has to be the good guy which requires a bad guy. P

Yes, Dorna, what a bunch of tw.ts. All sports are being stripped into seperate pay to view areas and we the fans are getting fleeced. I live in France and go round to watch a mates eurosport coverage of bike racing. Once BT take over I have no chance seemingly. Understand also that Motors TV has also been bought - that shows a lot of Irish road racing and club racing. I just hope these greedy b..stards fall on their own swords. Sorry not Crutchlow related topic as such but it needs voicing as much as possible.
