What the hell is herve thinking??why would he ditch Cal??n why would Cal leave Tech3??it's the 5th best bike on the grid..to get into factory honda or yammy it means yo should be special..Cal hasn't win anything..even in wet..he's Mr.can't overtake n 1lap wonder..so Tech3 is the best option IMHO..

After 3 years with tech3, crutch will have had 2 maybe 3 podiums if he's lucky and you are all outraged and upset he's leaving??? I say he should have been booted after his rookie season!! Looking back, I think Edwards was the only rider to make it to 4 seasons with tech3, so be thankful crutch had 3!! Motogp is a sink or swim world and 2 podiums after 3 years is unacceptable. Great move but I would have rather seen redding replace the crutch.

Well not unexpected and I think that Cal will be in demand from both Ducati to replace Hayden or the Planned 2 man Suzuki return?? Either way this is harsh but typical and proves that results still do not guarantee a seat in the Big Class. With Cal easily being the best of the rest I seriously doubt he would be going. Bradl's seat is most likely free, I am not sure if Dani is out of contract this year but even if he wins he may still leave (Suzuki?) as clear Honda now prefer MM as do repsol (telling from the HRC boss rushing to MM last weekend and ignoring the rider who won for them!!). Cal will be in GP next year for sure and many seats are and could be his.. hell maybe the leased engines rule next year will see some surprises!!

well cal must be gutted if this turns out to be true, Cal has tried so hard and done so well for yamaha and all his fans and to get rid of him and just give pol all that cal asked for and deserved seems cruel.nasher lets hope the duke gets sorted or the Suzuki is on the pace so you can thrash em all........

I love how people keep confusing Honda's interests with Dorna's and Repsol's. Honda dont have a factory team without Repsol, they are not made out of money, like everyone pretends. Oh Honda, those rich ba***ds, noo, not the case at all. Thats why Honda was looking for funding last year?

BTW, why does Cal have to leave Tech 3 when Pol can take Rossi's seat next year? Why would Rossi even waste his time riding Jorge's bike next year when he can do something new and exiting on an R1 in WSBK. Cal is the last person who should be leaving Tech3/YFR.

All these people saying cal has had great results, or, he has done so well at yamaha are delusional. He most definitely has NOT had good results. By my count he has two podiums in just over 2 years, so if those are "good results", rossi had really good results at Ducati then, right? Especially because he had some 2nd place finishes in there too!! Great results?? Please....

For me the objectionable element of this story is not that Cal is to leave Tech 3 - it's meant to be a feeder team for the works squad after all, and 3 years is enough for any rider to keep a ride there - but that the goalposts are yet again to be moved for a Spanish rider.

Already we've seen the rookie rule overturned for Marquez, and now it seems as though Tech 3 is to receive factory equipment for Espargaro - something they've never had before, even when Spies (a factory- contracted rider) was with them.

How much longer before there's a Spanish lock out on all factory rides at Yamaha and Honda?

He is constantly going on about a factory ride, even though the bike he is riding is still one of the best, so why wouldn't Yamaha sign Pol. There is no loyalty on Crutchlows side but he has already slagged off Ducati last year so options may rest with Suzuki. Don't wash your dirty laundry in public Cal!

Sorry guys the only real seat for Cap next year are suzuki or gresini. Bradls on contract next and has full factory support on paper for then, Haydens ride is questionable he is more than likely better than Dovi but not by much.

Too much talent soo much potential. We could only imagine the battles of yesteryear involving these guys on more or less equal machinery.

Honda has the money to race repsol offers big money and in business or personal matters it just makes sense to take it for honda though sometimes its worth the risk of testing the waters to see if they can get some more.
