@pp916

why is it every time you post a slightly negative comment it becomes a personal attack?
i didnt say he was a waste of space, just that in my opinon he wasnt good enough.

and as for 'come back when youve done something worthy yourself' get a grip. i didnt say i was better on a bike than gino. of course im not. no need to have a stroke.

@ Ray Goodyear....

That's a bit of a statement, have to assume you have spent some time in his company to form that sort of an opinion, but that's not the Gino I know, care to back it up with some facts?

@ The Biscuit...

Sorry but this trend on here of kicking a guy when he's down really pis*es me off, if it came from people considering all the circumstances a rider has to contend with and was based on fact then fair enough but when its the typical 'I don't like him therefore he's crap' school of thought its generally bol*ocks. What do you really know about Gino Rea the person or his career path to date?

well i know nothing about his personality based on the fact i have never met him, and stating a personal opinion isnt kicking a guy when he is down. i know a lot about his career path as i have watched bsb sbk gp motox and speedway since i can remember, im 40 now. im also lucky enough to have family connections to the racing world so i get to go to a lot of races in the uk and europe when funds allow.

but apologies for having an opinion thats different than yours.

*and also for the record i didnt say i dont like him therefore he is crap. just that i dont think he is good enough. in my opinion. its an opinion. i cant judge someone on their personality i have never met.

i have met a lot of racers, past and present and some i liked, some i didnt. and im sure some of them liked me, and some thought i was an annoying pr1ck. but hey ho.

No I dont know him personally but that is my point - In my opinion he doesnt come over very well and that is not a good thing for his career. Im not the only one whos suggested the same. Hes plainly a quick rider but one has to ask why hes now having to self finance his racing effort when others, possibly less talented , have progressed further.

@ Ray Goodyear....

I'm glad you think that your opinion is important enough for it be 'not a good thing for his career'. Man you must be really up yourself!
See how easy it is to twist words into something that I'm sure wasn't intended? But that's the point, anything anybody says with honest intention can be interpreted as them being a bit of a pri*k.....I'm sure you're not BTW!
Personally I think his determination to stay in Moto2 has put him in the position he is now, last season on the Gresini bike with Showa suspension (different to everyone else on the grid bar his team-mate, who he consistently beat BTW) did him no favours, its a career killer of a class if you're not in the right team with the right equipment, he could have regrouped and taken offers he had back in WSS, but he wants to stay in the GP paddock now he's there.

if you want to see a world class rider giving his all and leaving nothing in the motorhome then Gino is at the top of your list. and unless you can do better keep your negative opinions to yourself and watch and learn
