@miffy

Best of the rest because the rest is even worse(rookies) or struggles more with the bike.

The satellite yamaha is the best satellite bike out there, period.

Again, Dovi 4th and Cal 7th (Rossi 6th with his Ducati in front of him!) in the 2012 season.

What great injustice!

That ***** Bradley Smith gets a seat, but a deserving rider like Cal has to be treated like this.

Is someone at Yamaha scared that Crutchlow is making Rossi look average, and thus might replace him at factory if given full support?

Dump Bradley Smith and pair Crutchlow with Espargaro.

I would have thought his brother Alex would be more in demand with his CRT performances.

And I don't see Cal as moaning, just explaining the situation as it is.

Flatters to deceive and not helping himself by his PR gaffs which, whether you like it or not, is a large part of motor racings corporate style. Crutchlow can be fast but on a works Yamaha I see him being no further forward than the 5th to 7th place he currently occupies.

"Ducati chose Andrea and Cal ended up staying, and so only renewed his deal with us for a year in order to maintain the opportunity of being on the rider market for 2013, to try and become a factory rider (for 2014)"

So, let me know if I go this right:

He doesn't want to sign with Yamaha for 2014, but at the same time he doesn't want them to hire anyone to replace him either. He criticizes them at every opportunity for not giving him enough factory support , while at the same time badmouthing Ducati for the way they dealt with him last year.

What can I say. Good luck with that factory ride Cal....

The Spanish news sites are all quoting Davide Brivio saying he is number one choice for the returning Suzuki team.

I'm certain Cal will be on the grid next year.

Oh.. Yamaha will miss "Not being Thanked" next year ? :), maybe if Cal thinks Yamaha sucks and it is only Lorenzo that makes it win , maybe he should just go ride somewhere else.. and Oh.. if you do not thank Yamaha, also do not Blame Yamaha for being replaced :), blame TECH3 dude.

@Ray Goodyear
This not directed to you but rather a continuation of your argument.

Of course PR is a big part of it. Motorsport is business first. The rest that comes with it is just a nice little extra. Always was, always will be. Rightfully so, why do people insist and keep acting as if multi-billion dollar corporations just invest horrendous sums into R&D just for sh*t and giggles/just to entertain us? How naive can someone be, seriously.

I do think Cal needs to keep his mouth shut a bit more about wanted factory equipment he isn't far off but also fed up of people going on about how dovi beat him overall last year when cal was only in his 2nd year on a prototype and at most of these tracks. Dovi has gone these tracks for donkeys years and been on a prototype for about 5 years

Didn't read the article, already read one at gpone.com and there Herve stated that they didn't knew what engines Cal has because they are sealed. Only thing he knew was that Cal has an engine that was close to the factory bike engines. Cal kicked his own doors in, thinking he would end up in a good spot. At the end Yamaha decides what they'll get at Tech3, if Yamaha wants Pol in a team well the easiest way is to get him in a satellite team due to Cal's one year contract. What is Cal willing to ask as a wage? Complaining all the time wasn't in his favor the chance of him being a pit reporter for BTSports is bigger than see him on a Yamaha next year. Well done Cal, this is what moaning brings you
