Yamaha are supplying prototype engines next year to customer teams. So perhaps they are talking to him about doing a year with a customer team who will lease prototype engines and put into a contracted chassis from Suter/Kalex/anyone else. Imagine as well if it is both Espargaro's in the same team, they wouldn't need much motivation to beat each other and a better learning curve than CRT.

Surely Aleix is a better prospect for a satellite ride??
He is the best of the CRT riders, and even led a race in the wet last year.

I think Pol is quick, but I'm not sure if he can handle the pressure so well.

Cal is quick over a lap, as shown regularly in qualifying.......but that doesn't mean **** when he falls off in the races!!

I'm glad the argument over the difference in machinery is settled and now everyone knows is NOT the bikes fault!! Thanks for that Herve. On that note, cal has peaked and never will be more than a "just a few podiums a year" rider.

@yzf750r, most definitely not. Aleix has been in and out of the series before and has finished a highest of 6th in a race I believe?.. Anyway pol has way more potential and Yamaha know this.

The irony is Cal would probably be faster on an R1 than a Ducati GP13.

If Cal can steal Bautista's ride he will have half a chance, other than that hes wasting his time in GPs.

I think Aleix has proven himself at least as good as most of the riders in MotoGP, Pol still has some 'growing up' to do, hes quick, probably quicker than Marquez, but this isnt about getting the quickest people on the quickest bikes, its about looking good for the TV. Aleix would probably have his way with Marc on a fully backed Honda. Some pilots get the best bikes and never look bad in front of the camera, so they are easier to believe in, and so they are, and this is the way things are.

Rossi needs to leave MotoGP, cause he will be lucky to win any races till the end of 2014.
