“I think I hit a bump and then lost the front” - Dani Pedrosa.

One word: pressure.

With the new shorter Q system riders are now under bigger pressure to put in "the perfect lap" to qualify well for the race.

Of the front runners I knew Dani would suffer the most with the new system due to several factors including weaker mind (folding under pressure) and another important factor is he needs more laps/time than his rivals to get the tires up to temperature.

It's the 3rd time in 4 races he has problems in Q. Expect it to continue.

That said, I hope he wins tomorrow so I would like a dry race for him to have a better chance but I bet it will be a wet/mixed cond. race. I think MM will win wet or dry though.

I'm certain Dani has the pace compared to Marquez and Jorge.... if he does a 'lightning start' and moves to 3rd behind those 2, I think he has every chance of getting 2 in a row.

Oh and one more thing.
Don't expect him to make a flying start and be 1st at the 1st corner. With the new powerfull 1000 bikes that's one of his past few advantages lost.
Didn't anyone noticed since the new 1000 came along in 2012 Dani rarely takes the holeshot unless he's on pole?

He may still make great jumps when there is a big distance from the starting grid to the 1st corner but there's not many tracks with that in MGP I think.

@gp40. Marc Marquez is great but if its wet he will not win. He's yet to try out the machine in full wet conditions. Pedrosa will win tomorrow.

@gp40 well man i dont think you need to watch the racing tomorrow mate as you have all the answers and results sorted??!!??
Dani weak, what after having the strongest team mate of anyone for 2 years who beat him to the title in his first year with him, then beat him in the second year?? now he has the new messiah as his team mate who won his second race this year before Dani, and then Dani fell apart (weak mind you see) from losing again at home in jerez infront of all his fans and MM....oh wait that didn't happen did it? Clearly another MANU/Rossi now MM fan. Dani is just fine in this format, his issue was a crash in a 15 minute QP window that will affect everyone. Had he crossed the line 4 seconds earlier he would have got another lap in (as he was the first to take the flag) and would have most likely been on the front row. Any ho I will be dumb like others and watch the race to tomorrow and see MM win no matter what right?
