Mastershaft

Are you actually stupid or what? Rossi put the bike Dovi is riding in 2nd place last year under the same conditions. The ducati is going backwards if anything

As a Rossi fan going back to his 250 days, I would agree that his best days are behind him now. He is 34 racing against fearless, hungry 20 year olds, ffs!

That said, compared with the likes of Bradl, Spies, Ianone, Smith, he is still a top racer, and worth putting on a bike. Given his experience he can only be good for any team.

True, Cal maybe more deserving of the factory bike now, but Rossi had to take the opportunity to go back to Yamaha when it was handed to him! Rossi will be gone by the end of 2014, if not sooner. Cal might get his bike yet!

Would like to see 46 on a Yam superbike. Better to see him there and at the top than fall to the back of the field with Edwards. Ya gotta admit, he does enjoy his racing!

As a massive Rossi fan I hate to agree with the Casey Stoner fans here but it looks like VR can no longer run with the aliens. In his mid 30s his time has come and it just shows the huge difference between MotoGP and WSBK where the forty some-things can still win and even titles. The G.O.A.T. is no longer fast enough to compete at the very top.

First and foremost, I am NOT a Rossi fan, but then again I don't dislike him either.

It's becoming clear that Rossi quite obviously isn't fast enough nowadays. A shame, because there are other guys who deserve that factory seat more than he does. Crutchlow, Espargaro, Redding spring to mind.

And for all the Rossi 'fans', you should stick by your beloved 'GOAT' before you dismiss him as dead and buried. He's got some good results left in him.

But his performance today left much to be desired.

When did Rossi lead a race outright with a Ducati? Did he? Did he ever get a front row qualifying? You guys do realize the race was pretty much dry in the second half, the fact that they finished 4-5th says a lot about how well Ducati set their bike up to not completely eat that rear tire.

The sooner Ducati get Honda's bike figured out, the sooner they come closer to Bridgestone's objective.

Okay result for Rossi, considering YFR were pretty much non-competitive.

And for the people saying Rossi put the Duke 2nd last year bla bla bla...

Dovi did better than Vale last year imho. Dovi led the race for several laps, just seemed like tyre issues came to plague the Duke. Vale just cruised for 2nd, in a 2012 field with no Marquez and a virtually non-existent 2nd Yamaha.

Today wat happened was unfortunate. I will not blame Rossi I wud say rather he rode bravely...saw Lorenzo? Was trying to hide but vale at least tried to do something......a true racer is always like tat, go vale keep up the spirit, will try in the next, huh badly need a twist in the tale...keep trying vale

Onnu podo Lawrence.. I don't understand these ppl why don't they grow up....last year ducati only dovi riding or wat, their company is dead or wat ? I believe new parts are coming better than last year...tat one improvement can see in duke... last year we we're blindly waiting for chassis and ecu's

leading a race and qualifying on the front row are meaningless. The fact is when the flag dropped he wasnt on the podium. Its hard to see Dovi getting a better chance.

On Rossi, Mugello next. Would expect him to do well here but honda seem to have the edge eveywhere and Lorenzo will be up there as always so 4th place is probably the expected result
