Well done Cal ! if Rossi does not win at Mugello he should bow to the crowd , retire and give you the keys to his bike !!!! or should he carry on the self humiliation !!! ???

Fantastic ride Cal! What a way to silence the critics. Grit and determination plus a little wide open throttle = podiums. More to come for sure. Let your riding do the talking when it comes to contracts.

a decent ride from a decent rider.

i am a self confessed rossi fan... and i am also not a big fan of cal, just personality wise.

but i have to say, this year is time for the goat to hang up his leathers, and cal does deserve a shot on the factory yam, even for one season.

the man could do a job.

Impressive ride from Cal. I think he was the only one amongst the top 5 or 6 who never made a mistake or ran wide during the whole race.

It's been 24 years since a British rider took 2nd place in a 500cc/MotoGP event, so big kudos to #35 for revising that statistic.

EDIT by CRASH.NET! Please stop your baiting comments.

A great ride - controlled, consistent, competitive. Well earned. No-one with a brain can argue this wasn't a top drawer performance from Cal.
