“I knew I had to do the race 'old school', which is no problem, just have to do everything with the wrist” – Colin Edwards.

Interesting interview with Honda's Shoichiro Iramajiri in the latest Cycle World in which he says that with the current MotoGP bikes it's 60% to 70% machine and 30% rider. A few more years of technology development and I figure this senior citizen should be able to go head to head with Marquez :) I'm still saddened though by the amount of techno intervention these days and would like to see some of it backed off so the rider is a bigger part of the equation.

re: "It got to a point, and I think everybody was in a similar boat, in which the soft wet tyres on a drying track was very hard on the tyres,"

like i said, nothing a few shower heads at the dunlop bridge couldn't fix.

re: "Like Lorenzo demonstrated, with out the right setup/tire combination you can easily look mediocre on a bike."

NATCORK (no amount of talent can overcome recalcitrant kit). better known as s1's law.

re: "the key of yamaha's success is not because of the engine, the combination of engine and chassis is the key."

and there it is, acknowledgement that the CRT's can't match the factories in chassis construction either.

you sir are going to be a general some day, now disassemble your motorbike and continue. (ornery drill sargeant voice)

btw, for all their CRT status, i will say NGM are nailing the presentation. the livery looks fantastic and the use of red headed brolly even more fantastic. note to the team, do not swap out any of your ladies... they are working. monster may come with the best, but as far as memorability, your gals are right there imo. in short, your efforts are not going unnoticed even if your racing on track is. hell, there are factory teams that can't say this...! lol

no humiliation for edwards i suppose he keeps going not for the glory but because bikes are in his blood and they are paying him you know, i would love to see him back in wsbk i bet he would find succsess,
certainly he can compete with the likes of malandri. my guess is they pay more in gp even for a ctr development
too much electo in gp
its become a for bike championship
the ctr's and the satalights are just there to make it look legit. gp is in bad shape
