Big Spies fan, but he needs to get healthy and prove he still has the fire. Pedrosa won't take that ride, maybe later when (if) it's competitive . I'll say Nicky and A. Espargaro and Cal going to Ducati.

Anyone who thinks de puniet belongs in gp still, let alone on a factory bike needs some help. He has 2 podiums in 7 years!! This fact alone completely destroys any argument for de puniet getting the factory suzuki. He crashes way too much and suzuki is already going to be on a small budget so they for sure cant afford to keep up with him ruining bike after bike. I will lose all respect for suzuki if they sign him. I'd like to see crutchlow there and they can also make amends by signing spies also which they should have done for the 09 season..

I really doubt Stoner would pilot a bike that is probably half as good as the Ducati and is an unknown with the tires. Bring back more than one tire (scrap the control tire) and get rid of electronics, I bet he might consider it, its too controlled, and like Casey said, he doesnt want to be a freak on a leash for the cameras.

You want to see more than one or two makes on the podium, get rid of the control tires, and keep 'custom' tires out of the loop. More tires there are, the better chance for someone else to step up/get the setup right. The control ECUs are just a hoop to jump through like all other regulation, its just there to create the appearance of something fair.

haha I'm sorry I couldnt read past "Stoner is fast on any bike"..

You mean "Stoner threw his leg over a Ducati which due to the desmo valve train was ridiculously faster than all the rest of the field and slowly managed to 'develop' it into an inconsistent nail which Hayden and Rossi have lapped faster in the 2 years since and then moved onto the RCV which was clearly superior and when he couldnt beat his teammate had a cry and threw the toys out of the cot and left the sport to go to V8s where he now bitches because people dont get off the track to allow his highness through..."

Yeah i thought thats what you meant..

anybody that questions Stoners commitment, courage & incredible talent has to be an armchair warrior that really knows NOTHING about motorcycle racing...

One bike will go to whomever they deem the most reasonable and fastest Japanese rider as their not a single Japanese rider (or other Asian) on factory gear in Moto GP. The second bike will go to an American. Maybe not deserving, but they (Suzuki) need to move merchandise, and the motorcycle market in California alone is as big as the entire European market. GXSR's are everywhere in America. Unfortunately they get butchered by extended swing arms in the south, and become stunt bikes out west, but what does Suzuki care as long as its sold. Make money first, then maybe lets win races, and titles. Marketing does matter.""
agree for american market, suzuk definetly will sign a rider from there, a cheap and experienced would be edward. or spies but he seems lack motivation nowadays.
for the japs, I believe there arent any worth rider. so probably spanish rider for the main sponsorsip, like repsol for honda.

Don't forget yamaha was once an underdog, Rossi turned around the favours and stunned the world on it.

Stoner did wonders with Ducati... May be Rossi at his 30's was too old for Ducati (30+ is actually too old for most riders on any bike)

This is why every post in crash.net becomes a Rossi stoner fight thread... JL and Dani are not in the same league as Vale and Casey... Because JL and Dani were always on top bikes and are yet to try on an underdog and prove them on it with stunning results...

JL and Dani must consider moving to suzuki if chance arrives,, I guess MM is destined to do to suzuki what Rossi did to yamaha...

guy is amazing on a bike he would have smashed everybody second half of last year if he hadnt been injured heck he still kept his island streak alive as well.
Get over him however hes gone cant compare him to anybody right now any rider is only as good as their last race been a little while for him.
