Which rider should Suzuki target to lead it's proposed MotoGP return in 2014?

Would of thought that Spies will be looking to reunite with Suzuki to try and bring back his suzuki glory years! . He was pretty impressive when he had those wildcard rounds the last time out. I'm sure the honey badge will be up for it as well, after all he is after that elusive factory ride.

I'm surprised that people want Edwards? Last won WSBK in 2002 and has never won a MotoGP, despite being in it for 10 years.
People on this site give Pedrosa a hard time- what gives?!

Colin has had factory Honda and Yamaha MotoGP machines, done little with them, and I'm pretty sure that Capirossi beat Colin's times at the Bridgestone test last year?

Randy was top drawer until he went CRT... ..which goes to show how good Aleix Espagaro is.

Pair Espagaro with someone like Hayden. Youth and experience brought together!

if suzyki runs 2 riders team, my opinion :

1. Stoner for main rider, he'll get the bike up front.
2. Hayden for the testing / development role.

or hayden + spies or hayden + bautista

hayden is very valuable as a testing rider. :D

If someone doesn't give aleix espargaro a prototype bike next year then something is wrong with the world. That being said an all Brit of cal and Scott would awesome though don't know if cal would like it when Scott starts to regularly beat him!!

It has to be either Cal or Aleix Spargaro. Or both. Ideally one of them with a more experienced rider to help develop the bike in the right direction.

No, Nicky is not the guy to do it. Neither is Spies. It sucks for America but none of them have shown a consistent enough form to deserve that seat. Simple as that.

If it was up to me, Crutchlow would stay at Tech3. Flick Bradley Smith, hire Nicky (he deserves a good satellite but not a factory seat anymore) so Americans will watch MotoGP and give Suzuki's seats to Aleix Spargaro and hopefully Casey Stoner. Stoner would be hard to handle though... he'd have a billion demands and probably wouldn't sign anything unless the contract stated he was the #1 rider and the best to have ever been on a Suzuki. And that's before even riding the bike. He would also make it really tough for whoever his teammate was but I reckon Spargaro would be a good fit. The guy is hungry and has shown over and over that he is a force to be reckoned with.
