Southerner, agreed.Stoner and Marquez are very similar in physical proportions and riding style.Put that to the pit crew and i think they will start to look at Marquez as another Stoner. But Marquez will obviously put his own stamp on things.

so what you are saying is that marquez owes his "unusually quick adaptation in motogp" to..... stoner???? Please tell me this is a big joke. I don't care how you rationalize it, using stoners set up doesn't help much in the wet when its your first race in such conditions (le mans), doesn't help when you're trying to pass a rider on the last lap, (jerez) and last time I checked stoner, or anyone for that matter hasn't raced at cota.. so how again is his success to date owed in any way to stoner??????

Off course Marc team, event pedrosa look for stoner database.Every Repsol Honda data will look for the previous rider data.
Especially stoner wont there anymore.
Honda will collect every data to use it in next race and to update a bike.
Honda will use all resources to win a race. And they have right to used all they data.
Samething to yam and ducati.

One thing for sure marc will not begin from zero setup. The team will used previous rider data.
All the previous rider data is belong to repsol honda.
And they have right to use it as they want.

MM using Stoner's data....

Not sure we will every get a definite answer to that one but picking up Stoner's crew certainly is very useful .... it reminds me when Rossi insisted on picking up Doohan's crew when he first came to 500's ... a very smart move!!

MM is like breath of fresh air. His performance is staggering and it's so good to see a Repsol rider actually smile when he's on the podium!
Not to bore non UK guys with the subject but just to emphasise that the BT Sport issue is a real bad deal for the sport in the UK.
