Cal Crutchlow ends the first day of MotoGP action at Mugello wth the third fastest time, just adrift of his factory Yamaha counterparts.

and stop all this "Cal deserves better" stuff. Hes got the second best bike out there

Second best how? Behind factory Yams but ahead of Factory Honda's or second best meaning satellite? Either way he still has a better standing in the championship than guys on the best bike out there, whether that be just Rossi on the factory Yam or Rossi, Bradl and Bautista (to a lesser extent due to suspension) due to them being factory bikes so what else can he do to get the full support?

Crutchlow works for a Japanese corporation. Having done business with Japanese corporations I know from personal experience as well as decades of observation that - apart from results, of course - these guys value discretion and loyalty above almost anything else. Qualities that Crutchlow manifestly lacks and looks incapable of learning - even to simulate. This will impose an artificial ceiling on his career.
