Look I know it's a hard pill to swallow for us fans, but just imagine how much it must suck for Ben!! Hang in there man this is a long injury to be fully healed from. It will take some time. I'm pulling for you and we all expect you to be back in full form for the second half of the season spies. Good luck and god bless.

They're now predicting another 2-3 months until the shoulder will be strong enough for him to compete again. Good thing for Ben that he's on a 2-year deal, as 2013 looks pretty much wrecked.

@nafa

i have to say i agree with you.

i feel sorry for the guy. never been his biggest fan but its almost like he has lost his mojo and has no desire anymore.

i dont even think he would go back to wsbk now. i can see an end of season 'ben spies retires due to injury' headline

The easy thing to do is slag spies off and say he's done. And it makes complete sense after the year and some he's had and is surely the easy way out. But I kid you not, he is far from over in the premier class. He's on a relatively uncompetitive bike and he is FAR from healthy but let us not forget he's a former race winner which means he's done something right. He has my support and many people don't realize an injury like this is going to take 6+ months to heal and be fully fit from. So hate if you want but he will be back. I'm calling it here and now

hes gonna need the seat time, hopefully he can manage his injury, gotta love the 2 year contracts. Maybe Spies should consider switching with Pirro and working the lab bike with no expectations when he can sustain a whole race, until hes fit enough to compete properly.

I think he should take the whole year off to recover and get back to 100% for next year, think he will be better at WSBK, he finished with motogp, his seat would be better for a young rider or maybe the Ducati test rider.

Just bad luck.
