“As always in the qualifying we suffer more than the others. They use the slipstream and are able to go a bit faster than me” – Valentino Rossi.

Thats it Yamaha just give JL all the fast bits,you dont want a 33-34 year old showing both you up.I am so happy that both Honda's are showing JL the way this year.Like i said in another post there's no way Rossi could have lost this much time compared to JL in two short years NO WAY.If Yamaha would do it to Spies and he was in no way a threat to JL then they would easily do it to Rossi.But the haters would only want us to believe it if it was the other way around.WAKE UP.

Bozgp, "Back when" is when satellite bikes were capable of winning races and instead of 3 or 4 bikes contending for wins there were 6 or 7. It's the days where we would have more than 3 race winners per season and there were new race winners every year.. That's the "back when" I'm referring to.

I also agree that the likes of stoner lorenzo pedrosa and now Marquez have raised the level of competitiveness. Perhaps too much.. Since 2009, dovi and spies were the only new race winners and they've only won once! (now Marquez also). 98% or so of the wins since 09 have come from just 3 riders! And not just that, the CRT class is further increasing the gap in terms of competition. Hopefully they will fare better with Yamaha engines, and more teams will opt for the Honda production bike to shorten the gap.

@bozgp
Since when u watch motogp, cause if u say that Rossis first title came with a four stroke machine, u r wrong. His first title was on 500cc two stroke nsr honda. If u didnt see a epic races against Biaggi, Sete, Capirossi in early 2000 then shut a ''''''''''' up. He beat every rider that now is on top in they best form, Lorenzo@ catalunia, Stoner @ laguna etc, and in my opinion that was a epic races. I want to see Stoner or Lorenzo against Biaggi on 500cc two stroke, that will be funny. At least before u post some facts, please read a history of motogp

Dee LOL good joke that one different parts for the two riders wow sorry but the truth is rossi is still good but not now in the class of at least 3 riders who everyone knows . Don,t blame rossi he has the same bike he was starting to slip behind lorenzo when he left yahama for the duc and lorenzo has got better over the last 2 years then you got dani who is on it and the freaky kid who is scaring even them with his pace and he is only going to get better to be fair . So don,t hate or glorify rossi he is still the 4th best rider out there on race day just face facts and life is easier lol

TBH I've only been watching motogp since around 2007 before that I was riding rather than watching. But really, '9 times world champion', - How!
Promises so much, delivers so little, certainly for the past three years anyway.
I am waiting for the return of the messiah, am I going to be disappointed? - probably!!

@boxgp
You are so correct.

6 guys had 4 strokes and Rossi won title on two strokes.
Get your a$$ off your butt atleast to see what you type.

No competition, are you saying that max, sete, Loris ,barros didnt compete good enuf than the cry baby Jlo and Moaner??

Rookie year Rossi Rode a 2-stroke and was 2 nd in C'ship and Following year he took the title still 2 strokes stroke.
Motogp GP didnt start in 2007 mate, wakey wakey

@Kiwi
The Bike has change and will always be built around the #1 rider in the team.
carrying Corner speed vs lat break and quicker corner exit are two different style of development.
It wud take time for a rider to adapt and adjust to the style of riding from the style they' ve always ridden

Its a very odd situation that Rossi is in. He just cannot qualify the bike on one really fast lap BUT during his qualifying he did 5 sub 1m49s including one 1m47s lap now this is his race pace and is way faster than anybody else has set barring JLo! The fact is nobody in front of him has done a string of laps together as fast as this in free practice other than JLo although if you look at VR free practice times he has done just as well as his qualifying attempts but strung even more of them together. I really do not understand this at all BUT I think in the race he is going to go really well his practice pace indicates he will unlike those in front of him on the grid. It will be interesting to see what will happen I don't see a Rossi win but he will have a good race.
