re: "Bautista should have been aware, that in the 1st lap in the 2-3rd corner, riders still go side-by-side, so he can't go full speed, like no one else was there."

yup, first lap not even 3 turns had been completed. there were 2 other sets of riders (bradl/crazy joe in front, smith/espargaro behind) going thru that corner in exact same formation... bautista was the only one to make contact with his "mirror" so to speak.

at first i was in agreement with the stewards, but now i think, a penalty should be assessed. not because of who he clouted...? but simply because of the history. this IS alvaro's 3rd time being involved in a race start incident. he could've taken out a wobbling CRT...? doesn't matter. the standard rule is 3 strikes you're out. also, the other standing rule (that i'm sure everybody can agree upon) is there's no crying in baseball. lol

ps: ross DOES need to qually better, but that's a whole 'nother thread for crash to run with.

Who knows what Rossi may have done today?
Just one of those things that happen from time to time.A racing incident, plain and simple.A real pity as i was hoping to see him do something at his home race. But thats racing.

Is the third incident that everyone is referring to the Valencia 11 race where he took out De Puniet, Hayden and Rossi?
He starting to show a good measure of poor form in my opinion. Desperate racing in the opening lap of the race from a mid-pack position.

Some are moaning about Bautista not leaving space for Rossi, so what happened in Lorenzo corner when M&M didn't leave space for Lorenzo's line, oh M&M is gutsy, he is the next Vale, that is part of racing, when there is a line you take it,etc.,. Guess what Mr. Rossi close the line on Gibernau, Lorenzo and many many others = payback. I admire Rossi's "legacy" but he is starting to reach into a bucket empty of excuses.

"but simply because of the history. this IS alvaro's 3rd time being involved in a race start incident."
- So in that case Marquez should have been spanked publicly for his history on Moto2 after the Lorenzo corner race incident.

okay, that's right. it was his last ride on the suzuki. hammammatsu had cancelled christmas shortly before that or shortly after AB bowled that strike.

btw, who was the other rider that got this torpedo reputation....? there was somebody else back during the 990 era (round '03-'04?) who kept repeated annihilating people into T1. think they were on the Zed-RR..? was that nakano...? or was that a satellite honda...? not sure, but there was somebody who was CLEARLY trying to over-compensate for the kit they were on.

was the lorenzo corner or any of the moto2 incidents at race start...? effectively 'causing a team (or sponsors) to piss away millions in prepping for a race in front the cameras that doesn't go off...? was anybody physically injured...? these are the criteria you must use.

lorenzo getting "brickwalled" (but not forcibly DNF'd) in his own corner came on the last lap, and in the simo/pedrosa clash at lemans for example, dani came away with a serious injury. in contrast, the simo/lorenzo incident at assen, jorge was able to remount for P6. P6 is non too shabby when the alternative was dickus.
