The truth is Rossi would have been on the podium for sure if he hadn't crashed thanks to Bautista. He had a decent pace in the warm up and you could tell he was happy and ready to give his all. The important thing is that he didn't get injured and little by little he's improving his feeling with the bike. I'm sure they still have some work to do on the bike but I'm convinced that very soon we will be watching him fighting for wins. The world is looking forward to it.

All the Honda riders should be glad that Baushitsta is on a Honda and not on a Yamah otherwise he would have knocked off Dani or Marc.
If Alvaro quits MotoGP he should think off applying for a job as a hitman his "hit" ratio is "99%+46%" that's quite good for a marksman.

Some post are really insane, people can wach the onbord start from Rossi and wach the Cluch spinning, is not Turbo or short gears was really the cluch not worcking properly on the start, they also say Rossi was rushing to pass riders? Rushing? or making is race was on the right line clearly in front of Bautista and God knows why Bautista was racing on the 1 lap where we have many riders together like it was running alone on track, one stupid mistake that cost Rossi a good race has we wach he had the pace to at least beat Pedrosa.. Its just a big pity and haters are really Funny

Well, that crash has to be the biggest anti-climax in the history of races! The 70,000 people who had paid their ticket to see Rossi race at his home track must have felt like strangling Bautista right then and there! lol. I feel so bad for them. After the crash the feeling of the race immediately changed, from potentially one of the most exciting races so far , into a 'who cares' parade again. Looking forward to Barcelona.

Go 46,

So the race would have been so much more exciting with Rossi possibly having a chance of dicing with Crutchlow? He really had no prayer of running the pace of the front 3 before Jorge dropped the hammer and Cal was consistently fast and well in front from the start.

Rossi has taken part in 5 races. He has had front disk trouble, has crashed in the wet while in a podium fight, has crashed through no fault of his own, so yes he is finished, should give his bike to Cal, he should retire. I can see your logic.

I think your a bit overly optimistic in your assessment. The "disk trouble" which is a bit suspect on Carbon rotors didn't change much in Austin, in the private test and race weekend he was never on pace or a threat.

Crashing in the wet during a podium fight? I didn't see Nicky on the podium and vale was moving backwards towards Hayden when he came under pressure and had his crash.

In 5 weeks he may start the weekend close but loses touch with the top guys as they pick up speed through the weekend and qualifies poorly too. His issue is a lack of speed relative to his team mate more than bad luck.
