Fame (in the form of the various interests) unfortunately consumes the famous if they eventually buy into the hype about themselves.

It's a hard road for those in that situation - everything they thought they gained/are is bit by bit bled back out of them....

Just a racing incident
However, once again Rossi and his fans call for someone's head.

There was a time when Rossi had the sort of pull to have rules changed, overlooked and media eating his every word but like all things, time and performance changes and he no longer has that pull.

Rossi should stay racing but he's fans need to see him for what he is, an ex champ in the show but no longer the show

remind me of Loris in 2001 and 2006 when he is so good at honda and ducati, but when Stoner came, boom he sucks immediately. Few good race with suzuki but that's all. This prove that competition could shatter someone mentally or in Dani's case turn to motivation.

I guess Cal is doing magnificent work with satellite bike. Now I realize that none of current aliens has taste a satellite bike!

Many of these posts are idiotic and unfortunately overshadow the others who understand the sport and the extreme difficulties it places on all riders. One mistake and there is a posse willing and ready to declare that rider's career is over. Here's a thought.... Crash should provide a veto button. If ten or more readers mark a comment as idiotic, that person is banned from making further comments for a week. Just a thought....

People who say "excuses" should polish up their English and check what "excuse" means, cos this is the most intelligent explanation i have heard from a rider. He doesn't even blame Bautista ( who always takes people out, like Simoncelli, Lorenzo, etc.).

@OZ Mick
How true if it was stoner all hell would break loose.

I am not a rossi fan but dont blame rossi or the Yam engineers blame the ones who set up the bike and their boss is Burgess and I will not rubbish him because he is one of us an AUS,but I will just say Jermy its time to resign,as Kenny Rodgers said you gota know when to hold them and know when to fold them and I am sorry to say mate its time to fold them. you will always be remembered as one of the greats but its time to walk away.
