Cal is the real deal. You don't get his sort of results without a huge talent. For every "gift" he gets he has had share of misfortune, so no shame in another podium finish.
ALSO, CRASH- please stop these annoying vids which tell me the same news every time I go to a new thread.
It is making me terminally fed up with having to pause or mute the imposition loaded by a sport in which I have no current interest. There is a real likelihood that it could cause me and many others to migrate to other forums.

Agree about the vids they are annoying to say the least , Cal and Redding were sensational , bar adders has posted a tweet pic of his finger , respect to him for racing as its nearly worn through and proper ugly .
Overall a awesome weekends racing .. Oh let down by the bbc not showing the podium and interviews again!

If rossi leaves, I completely agree that crutchlow should get the factory ride. However, to say cal should be replacing rossi is a different story. A nine time world champ shouldn't be replaced by a guy who has 4 podiums in 3 years to his name. the marketing force of rossi alone will keep crutchlow from taking his spot. As soon as rossi vacates the ride should go to crutchlow though hands down.

GIFTED PODIUM ! a sat bike taking .3 to.5 a lap out of two repsol hondas in the last 8 or 9 laps, causing one to push past his team mate to escape the impending arrival of mr crutchlow and crash trying to get a buffer doesnt sound like a gift to me..... wake up people.... he was CATCHING the factory hondas like only an alien usually can.... at the end of a race.... fricking amazing and well deserved podium from cal today... or am i dreaming.... the lad from coventry bearing down on the recognised elite.... must be....zzzzzz

i'm a big fan of cal 2 great results on the trot whether gifted or not, why O why are ppl of late kicking at rossi he is probs only the one rider who truely cares about the image of the sport he is in and has tried to promote it more to the world than anyother of the riders without his support the riders wouldn't get as muc out of the sport, i agree with some points on here that rossi should consider retirement maybe at the end of the current season cos all those races in history book dont need to be blotted with 3 seasons of nothing but some of you ppl on these forums your just like the media blood suckers.

catching the hondas? it only took him until the last 5 laps to pick up his pace, why didn't he put the pressure on the whole race?? couldn't have been the tires wearing away now could it?? and why is always CHASING them to begin with?? to have alien status you have to be leading, not following. winning races not getting a podium because someone ahead of you crashed. so no he most certainly does not have alien status. Until I see a win or at LEAST pole from him, he's still only human.

Yamaha/Cal/Tech3/Smith/Pol issue...

If Yamaha are still intent on getting Pol for 2014, why not offer more support to Tech3, as Honda & Ducati do for their satellite teams?

For 2014 they could give Tech3 their lease engines for a privateer team with Smith on it (I'm sure he would do adequately well on that set up). Cal remains with Tech 3 but with full factory support, based on his current form he deserves it. The other Tech3 satellite ride (without factory support) then goes to Pol.....although I would personally prefer Redding on that bike....
