Any talk of a wild card is extremely premature. They've got Piro for that job and also Max hasn't even sat on the bike yet. If he finds himself 3 or 4 seconds off the pace then he wont entertain embarrassing himself in a race. No way will Max want to bumble around in midpack or fighting the CRT's. If he doesn't feel he'll be competitive, or more importantly, if he feels the bike wont be, he wont bother and why should he.

Rumor has it Ben is getting a new bike anyway, a 10-speed bicycle, with tassles on the bars, that seems more his style these days anyway.

Call me a band wagoner, but when spies is on the hunt he is amazing to watch, but the last few years it seems he is a mid-teir rider, and thats only because he put himself there. And further still, talent is useless if you're too injured to get on a bike.

I still don't see him being back on a bike for 2 more races, and honestly don't see him being anywhere near his old self. though I must say he paraded himself through the AustinGP nicely, but you could tell he was hurting more and more each lap.

Also, to who commented about spies liking to man handle the bike, I agree, he is one of the biggest riders in the paddock, and to me, seems like one of the strongest.

He'll never take a wildcard MotoGP Ducati ride but it would be oh so wild if he spotted something that sorted the Ducati out. Highly unlikely but what a story that would be! Especially if it took 80 something seconds.

i think a legend series is what we need ...and all of them on the same bike(it would have to be really big to seat 20 riders) ...unfair to let Stoner race though....

the list doesn't stop there r1racer.. throw de puniet, barbera, aoyama, abraham, espargaro, and only recently has bautista found decent success.. bradl, a former moto2 world champ has yet to podium after almost a year and a half and he's on a factory bike with only slightly worse brakes.. smith will certainly be a dud.. you could say that except lorezo, pedrosa, stoner, rossi, dovi and marquez, EVERY moto2 rider to come up has had little to no success!!

Yes, agreed Spies is injured, but besides that.... he does seem to have lost his Mojo ever since Yamaha told him they had lost confidence in him. Makes me wonder if he will ever be a top flight rider? I've always been a big fan of his, but it's important to keep it real.

Biaggi never got the curse put on him by Rossi.

I'd love to see Max on a wild card. He gave WSB a huge boost when he raced that series, it would be so cool to throw him back in the mix with Moto GP.

It wouldn't be unfair to let Stoner race, you said a "Legend" class ? how is he a Legend?

And if it was all on the same bike nor some computer controlled rocket ship you'd have an eye opener!
