re: "This is just too coincidental. With Rossi's dip in form, I wonder if Max is considering a Ducati race just to beat Rossi and rub it in."

if that's his goal, he's chosen the wrong weapon. bringing a knife to a gun fight this.

@the real Dave
Mate I keep on telling you you have to get stoner out of your head hes retired and enjoying life with his beautiful wife and child,and taking a spin every few weeks in a V8 for fun,I even read somewhere he was invited to the USA last week for a bike day somewhere he is having a ball while poor old rossi is grafting away and cant retire because his PR machine are trying to make the last few dollars out of him after paying out the big tax bill they had to pay,I feel really sorry for him you dont have to be a genius to see he is not enjoying where he is at the moment I bet he would love to be driving rally cars,but he cant go untill the PR man says so.

Surely this is fuss about nothing? Max is reigning world champ, has years of experience, knows Mugello and of course lives in Italy.

As some have said, he'll put in a few laps- slower than all the full time riders- and come back to deliver his feedback.
They'll make changes, he'll run round again and debrief the team.
Max will enjoy it, Pramac/Ducati will get some useful data regarding the direction they need to take (not setup data, just general feedback) and every one gets juicy PR exposure.

If Max joins a MotoGP starting grid I would be shocked.

FFS Aussie Nsw you are obsessed with Rossi How many times in your posts you mentioned Rossi "PR machine? You really don't know the man, I don't either , but I come from a town just 30 km from where he lives , so I may know that Rossi cares much more about racing then the money. Yes, he does have lots of money and yes he makes sure he gets paid very well, but who wouldn't ? And he takes it's own decisions , not this PR MACHINE that you know so well about. And regarding Stoner: sorry mate , I know it's your hero but here in Australia he never gets mentioned, you never hear from him, it's like he never existed , but maybe this is exactly what he always wanted.
Glad you find a new hero in Lorenzo, but please get Rossi out of your head man

I didnt bring him up, GOAT did....and like GOAT, you also cant seem to let him go as you have kept tabs on him pretty well (evidenced by your post).

As for rossi, he still loves riding, he's said many times he will do it for as long as he enjoys it and that with his money, why stay home and do anything else (also practiced by edwards).

Im sure he would enjoy it more if he were at the front and winning (as would edwards) but the point is he is still enjoying it, you still enjoy trashing him and I still enjoy highlighting your irrational logic and contradictions.

Everyone is happy, all is good and no one is acting like a git race-in and race-out.
