'To be in a fight with Andrea [Dovizioso] towards the closing laps of the race, knowing that he has been always very strong during this part of the race, was obviously something special' - Bradley Smith

He can't rely on the guys in front crashing out every race. I think he is improving but to still be 32 seconds off the winner (i.e. over one second per lap) is not where he should be at this stage.

@stoned matching Marco Simoncelli's first season, do you think Simoncelli should have been in BSB as well?

He doesn't have a factory bike, or indeed the same bike as Cal. So his bike hasn't won a single race this year.

Good ride by Bradley, improving all the time and basically doing exactly as he and the team said he should.

Most importantly, he's looking more at home on the bike, so would be good to see him keep chipping away and start running with Bradl/Dovi/Hayden more consistently.

I do wish the eurosport guys would stop b*mming him all the time though, hes doing ok but they certainly over do it.

Just to put things in perspective.
Was Dovi (on the ducati) with all his experience, beaten by the less experienced Bradley? Or is Dovi also struggling with the piece of crap that Rossi struggled with.

That Bradley's M1 is leagues superior to Andrea's Ducati is not even debatable. The factory bike element means jack when it comes to Ducati. Since he has entered motogp, Dovi has finished every Barcelona race within 10 secs or closer of the race winner, apart from 2010 when something obviously happened to him and he finished over a minute down. The moment he steps on the Ducati and he finishes 20 secs further down from the race winner than he used to when he rode Honda's and Yamaha's. Having said all that he made his own bed and now he's got to lie in it. He insisted on riding a factory bike so went to Ducati when Yamaha wouldn't give him one. I bet now he is starting to realise just how much better a Satellite M1 really is compared to a factory Ducati......

.....Bradley is finally looking like he is starting to improve. I said earlier on in the year that i thought that he wasn't doing a particularly good job, but that i was expecting him to be good enough to at least improve to the point of looking like he actually belonged on a Motogp bike. It seems he is finally starting to get to that stage.

are trying to compare this guy to MS, a guy who came into motogp after winning the 250 championship (almost twice @ 160lbs) and many GPs
the M1 'satellite' bike starts the season identical to the 'factory' bike, what a poor excuse!
Marquez could WIN on this machine!!
Motogp is NOT a feeder series!
