Having spent 2 dismal years at Ducati and having no improvements made to the bike he was trying to ride, Valentino has lost out on a lot of new electronical stuff! I say stuff, because God knows what is being done to bikes these days, but to me, Valentino will always be a rider that prefers a "man's" bike instead of the pre-programmed ones that seem to be for the pansy type of rider we have today - "Ooh, I think the bike is going to crash - thank goodness for the traction control or I would have no chance!! " etc. etc.!!!

@ STEVE99 yes your right when Rossi went from Honda to Yamaha it was successful. But only at the first race. Testing he wasn't straight on the pace. It took the off season to get him there. I would like to see him get a win before he leaves but unless its gifted to him I can't see it. Would be good to see him win at his home track in his last year.

@ here we go . Not sure if you have done much racing but the electric bike are just as hard to ride as the old 500 cc two stroke leaded fuel bikes. If you have that sort of feel for a bike your going to be quick. Marc stoner JL and dani would all be good on the old bikes. Stoner uses less electrics than most. And the way he can slide a bike that doesn't want to slide is amazing. So i think he and the others would have not problems sliding a direct throttle .

R u ever have to ride 500two stroke bike or any other motogp machine, no? Me too. But at least moto gp ridesrs call 500cc machine a "maneater" I didnt say that 990 is way easy to ride, but for shore modern day machines is way safer than 10 years ago. About Stoner, if he use no electronics, whay he only win 7 races and no titles in 125 and 250class? About sliding, i think Garry McCoy do it way better, is he a champion? And in youtube please paste "Mellandri slide" then u see what is sliding....

Excuse number 2,004,685 for Rossi's failures.

I have been on a couple of bikes. Not the new full on electronic bike but close to it and the old ones yes. Mels slide is good. But his speed would have been about 140 to 160 kms . Stoners turn 3 is at over 260 kms not sure exactly because they don't like telling anyone. But when asked they said over 260kms . If anyone's got the inside goss please tell us. Gary's a nice guy and a good rider to. Stoner has less elec not no elec. he came close on a 250 for a world title but lost the front end at Phillip island. I hope dani wins the championship this year .
